I know some people who have diabetes and they are injecting insulin to control their blood sugar. I have also known someone who take sweets when they feel their sugar dropped to low level. Can anybody explain how these 2 types of diabetes differ?

Diabetes in both types are very dangerous. Type 1 is juvenile diabetes. It starts during childhood and is usually insulin dependent immediately. Type 2 diabetes is adult on set. This can be controlled by pills or insulin depending on the severity. Usually people start off taking pills to control type 2 and then are moved to insulin as it progresses. If a diabetic does not eat properly or does extranious exercise their blood sugars will drop causing them to have to eat some kind of sweets or carbohydrate to increase their sugar level.

I also forgot to add that some of the major symptoms of diabetes are frequent urination and excessive thirst. In type 1 diabetes you will also see normally well behaved children act out if thier sugars are out of alignment.
