after you collected a lot of coins in your piggybank, what did you do to your savings? did you put in the bank or use it for your needs? i am shy bringing my savings to the bank and its too heavy!

Yes I do have one. I deposit my coins there, if my purse gets too full of them. I have pretty much of them collected inside, but I don't have time to take them to a bank to exchange for paper money.

I used to have that when I was young. It teaches me how to value and save money.I can buy the toys and things that I want.In case of emergency, you'll have money to spend. It serves also as a good hobby.Saving money wisely and not to used it in unnecessary things.Lastly, saving is preparing.

I have a tin jug with silver hearts on it. I also have a jar that counts the change as it's dropped in.

I allie_xoxo? Good day to you. Well, if your jar is cute and elegant to the eye. I'm sure you will enjoy putting a coin on it and you can able to save and full your unique jar. By the way, what will you do to the money when you already full it?

Well, it's not a piggybank anymore. I had piggyback when I was growing up. Now I have an antique jar which I drop coins of the bigger value. Then I have a small basket with lid for smaller coins. I don't deposit the coins in the bank. I use it to buy something which I like. Then sometimes I use it to eat out with friends LOL. Also I gave some to charity or to the church.

Hello sparks! Good day to you! Just like you? I also havea piggy bank in my room. Then i use to put a coin on it every morning. If i'm not mistaken the size of my piggy bank was just about 12 inches of size and the amount inside of it was already in half. Well, my plan on it is to buy new phone when i already full it.

I don't keep a piggybank. I have tried a lot of times to get one but my parents, sisters and bf discourage me. They have this belief that when you keep a piggybank you'll get sick and just spend the money you kept there for medicine or for hospital bills. I don't know where that came from but they always say that everytime. I don't even know what's the difference when you keep money in some other containers or just keep it in boxes or even keep it in the bank!

i have a piggybank (white and pink) i bought two years ago... along with a dozen piggybanks for my nephews and nieces. i was teaching them to save and what better way than to lead by example. i have a coinsaver box that i've been using for 11 years now. it was back during a savings campaign we have developed for credit unions in the area for their kiddie savers account. i kept it on my table for any loose change i get everyday. and then i have it deposited every month. since i was a kid, we had all sorts of coinsavers box/ piggy banks. some made by huge old bottles, carton box, bamboo and even ceramics. it's a great habit to have. coins do add up when put together. it can be of considerable amount after some time. we wanted to start our youngster early in terms of savings habit. so 2 years ago, i opened bank accounts for some of them so that they could start saving and learning the habit at an early age. i mostly put my coins in the bank unless my sister who has a small store has a need for it. go ahead and have a trip to the bank, don't be shy about your coins saved. but make sure you already counted it before you go there. it would take some time to have it counted in the bank. hehe usually they will give you plastics for a particular denomination and you'll have to just fill it up.
