If you were trapped in a situation where you need to choose between career and relationship, what will you choose?

Wow, how I would hate to be trapped in such a dilemma! But if I really have to choose one, I would probably go for career. This is because I just entered the working world about a year ago, and I am still quite "fresh" as an employee. I think I need to build up my career before indulging in a relationship. Besides, I don't think any girl will want to date a person who has no money and no career, would she? So for the time being, I want to concentrate on building up my career first; relationship can wait....

I think you are right. If the person really loves you, he/she can wait and understand everything about you.

This is hard. First, I'll try to analyze the situation and see if it can be compromised. If it can't, I guess I'll choose my career over the relationship. Especially if my career is something I've worked really hard for.

It's hard to give an answer. I think it depends. But in most cases, I will choose the relationship. :) You see, life is short, we need to enjoy it, and having a good relationship is one of the most enjoyable things happening in our lives. Career? We can get another one later. But the true love? Maybe it just happen to you once.

It's an easy choice for those who already have the money and can pretty much survive being jobless for sometime. On the other hand, it will be difficult if you depend on career or others are depending on you. So it's really a case to case basis.

I don't think it's likely that I'll ever get that problem, I think it should be quite OK to have both, but I'd probably chose the career.
