Every one likes to be tall enough, because it gives them a good physic look and also gains more confidence. I am right now 18 years and i am 5feet and 5 inches tall . I am doing my exercise but i find no improvement in my height . my father are tall but my mother is short. What should i do to gain height at least 3 to 4inches . What diet should i follow. Is there any one who has gained height after 18 years,if yes please tell me the routine you followed or the diet. for first five replies i will mark as best one.

there is no way to increase your height it is all in the gene's if you have a tall dad and a short mam then it all depends whose height genes so to speak that you get, I am 5'7 and my uncle is 6'6 my dads 6'2 and my mam's about 5'5 so I took it from my mam's side of the family, yet my brother is 6'1 so he took his from my dads side. Whatever nature has decided your height is, that is what it will be you may still grow but chances are that's as tall as you are going to get if you want a few extra inches only thing I can suggest is wearing shoes with a padded sole as that will add a little extra but am afraid genetically there's nothing really you can do, you will be as tall as nature wanted you to be.

thank you benny128 .i find your response convincing myself...but what people think is that people with more height have a superiority than the shorter ones. by the way please accept my friend request.

well that is your opinion confidence and how other people view you has ni bearing on height at all. I am 5'7 and I am the most confident person in life, I am also viewed by some people as being over confident but that is me I am happy in my skin I would hate to be any taller as height has nothing at all to do with getting on with life. Aslong as you are confident in your own abilities and in your own skin then height has absolutely nothing to do with anything in life.

I think you better stop trying to knock yourself out, boomima. Mom and Dad (in other words -- genes) pretty much determine your height and sounds like you inherited your mother's. No special exercise or diet can change that. Go with what you got. Just stand tall and proud and you will exude confidence. (Or a good pair of platform shoes or lifts is an option.)
