Laptops have inbuilt speakers. But they are useful to watch a movie in your laptop.I bought a pair of 2400 watts speakers for it.Even if inbuilt speakers are good they are giving troubles frequently. Is your inbuilt speak is working well or are you using speakers. How much volume do you want to hear a song ?I always keep full volume

I use my IEMs when i need noise canceling and to not disturb anyone,But when I listen to music I use my speakers over optical audio. For movies the laptop speakers or the headphones are all that i need.

Mine are actually fine. I use the built in ones because I don't really have any problem with them. And I never turn the volume to the max. That would be simply too loud for my taste. I probably set the volume most of the time to around 20~30 percent which works just fine for me. Buying separate speakers for me would be simply a waste of money. Its not like I would use my laptop for parties or anything like that. I just use it to watch movies or perhaps some videos on YouTube.. so I'm fine with them. :) But I do know someone who does use separate speakers. Its mainly due to the bad quality speakers that hes laptop has. They work but they sound like one of those old radios. Their nothing that you would like to hear a movie on. Yet alone listen to music..

I just use the built in speakers on my laptop when I am listening to music or watching a movie or tv show online. They are working fine for me right now. But if they did ever break down. Then I would try to buy some good external speakers so I could listen to stuff online.

My laptop also has built in speaker, but I guess its built in speaker is not so good because normally, built in speaker in laptop is just a general speaker. It's different for some HP or Compaq laptop which has better speaker. If I'm not mistaken, HP and Compaq uses Harman Kardon speaker which I believe better than any ordinary speaker. How ever, I still use my laptop built in speaker to play games and play movies. I have bought Simbadda desktop speaker. It is much better to listen to music in that Simbadda than built in speaker. But I put the Simbadda in my room, and I use my laptop mostly outside. It's quite hard to bring along the desktop speaker outside. So I bought another speaker, actually a headset. I want to buy a Senhessier though, but I guess I bought a Phillips first is quite enough for now. For now, I often use the headset if I use my laptop outside.
