Do you like real big ones, little dinky ones, or in between ones?

earrings - Picture of some hoop earrings. What the heck did you think I was talking about? LOL

Or maybe you're the type that doesn't like any at all. Personally, I like little dinky ones! Though there used to be a time I liked real big ones too. There was just something about the way they'd hang. I found them really sexy! LOL But I realized big ones can be painful. So, now I prefer little ones instead. They don't hurt at all! So, when it comes to earrings, what kind do you like? Big ones, little ones, in between ones, or none at all? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

I love them; all of them! I like them in all shapes and sizes! I wear studs, hoops or dangly ones depending on my mood. I have long hair so the bigger hoops look great when I have my hair out, whereas studs and danglies look great when the hair is tied back or up. The problem is that some of the larger variety can be a tad too heavy and pull your ear lobes down to your chin so they are not always a good idea!

I don't own big heavy ones but it wouldn't matter if I did. If my ear lobes were to sag they would match the rest of me.

Hey Paula. So, you like variety, huh? LOL That's one of the reasons I stopped wearing big ones. I didn't want my earlobes sagging down. LOL

I was thinking when you said you liked the little dinky ones that wow she must of had some real giants to make her want the tiny's lol. I like hoops, silver. Not giant but medium size. Sometimes just studs. dl

LOL Thanks! You're pretty funny yourself! I was literally LMAO at your response! Oh, and I like hoops too. Though I prefer gold. Happy mylotting! PS I do that with discussions sometimes. Not only to throw people off LOL, but to see who actually bothers to read the discussions. Because some just go by the subject line alone.

Thanks Sacmom for the best response. As I said you are extremely funny and I seem to feed off your humor. I would love to hang out in person we would be laughing the whole time. I love my silver hoops! I see you are the same except for they're gold. Cool. I make jewelry. I have started a small business from it. I would love for you to see it. Thanks again Sac! I really and truly appreciate your choosing my response to be the best. I know I am corny but I love the fact that I was chosen. I dont have many people around to have conversations so it means alot when someone I hardly know chooses me as number one. Thanks again. I hope we can be friends. I would love for you to see my creations. have a great day. Happy MyLotting my friend. dl

doorknockers. i like big earrings. it helps if you change out the backings for the circular ones that distribute the weight better though.

Hi, sacmom. When I was a teenager, I loved wearing the stylish big earrings. Because it was a style and other girls my age was wearing them. But, now as I have gotten older, I have found the little or medium sized earrings seem to fit me better. They are so much more comfortable. I still like big earrings, don't get me wrong, I just only will wear them when I have an outfit that goes well with these earrings.

I loved wearing big stylish earrings back then too. Though it didn't last long as I didn't like the feel of them. The darn things got uncomfortable after being in too long. LOL So now I stick with the little ones as they feel so much better! I barely feel them at all!

My wife likes smaller of the size of our 50 paise coin, they are of pure gold, have one real pearl hanging from each, bigger ones will be heavy it will pull the lobes down, increase the hole size lol.. Thanks for sharing Cheers. God bless you, have a nice day ahead. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .

Hi sacmom! Since your link bring me to your topic then I will give my answer~ I like the little ones as I found the big really hurt my ear~ I don't like the hook type as well. I just thought that it will make my earlobe become longer~

That wasn't really necessary LOL, but since you answered... The little ones are still my favorites. Particularly a pair of studs I have! I don't like the hook type either. However, I never thought they'd make my earlobes longer. I just thought they looked too darn freaky for me to wear! Happy mylotting!

I like, and have always preferred, to wear small studs. I have small ears - I think large earrings would look strange on me.

I find big hoop earrings to be a little painful, and long dangly ones too. I prefer earrings that can be seen to those little teeny ones. My hair usually covers my ears so I like them to be seen, without discomfort. Does that answer your question?

I like dainty and delicate earrings...they can be small or in between although you could never call them large, even if they are long and dangly. However, I once had some big chunky silver earrings that has a bow, a ball and a heart, they were big and they looked great on me and I loved them. They disappeared. I know when I've lost an earring because there's only one...how do you lose two at the same time??

I don't know, I've seen some pretty big round ones before. LOL I think the only way anyone could lose 2 earrings at the same time is if someone else took them. Either that, or the owner of the earrings misplaced both and lost them that way.

I am supposed to use the big ones as I am an 'L' size but unfortunately I never like to wear earrings. I feel uneasy with those dangling accessories that only put weight on an aging face. I prefer to go bare.

Hey what company have you been keeping?! I am faithful to my little ones. They give me no problems and I even keep them with me each night. For a special occasion I also have some big ones but they do tend to get in the way - maybe because I am not used to dealing with them of late The long ones don't suit me as my neck is short and I don't really seem to get the best out of them. I leave them for those that can handle them better. I feel clumsy when I use them so they just stay in the cupboard for a rainy day. I love the coloured ones in the summer and over here you see all sorts on parade on the hot sunny beaches. Sometimes it looks like a lolipop parade!

I like shiny, hanging ones! I have one pair I don't wear often because they are really heavy--lots of "jewels" and filigree work and nearly as big as a fifty cent piece! Those are just for fun and brief outings, I can't wear them very long. I'm like a crow, I'll grab anything shiny. Most of my earrings are glittery and dangly. I'm not sure which of us has their mind in the gutter here-me for wondering if I should even answer this till the last couple of lines or you for writing it that way!!

I went through a phase where i really really liked the big hoop earrings. but found i got my hair tangled or caught on them....or would hook my hairbrush on them. As well found that my ears hurt alot. So i switched to smaller earrings that dont dangle and werent hoops but i found that anything that had nickle in...made my ears really ache or even turn a really interesting green. A now Ex boyfriend gave me a teenie pair and a small pair of hoop white gold earrings. I've worn them for the last two years...and not had sore ears or tangles with hair etc...Love them and find i very rarely switch pairs to sometihng else. Gave alot of my old pairs of earrings to my youngest sister whose 13 and is goign through the love big earrings phase.

Ouch! I don't think I ever left big hoops in when I brushed my hair, or if I did I was extremely careful not to hook my hairbrush on them. I was completely freaked out about them getting caught up like that. I rarely switch earrings either. Once I find a pair I like I usually stick with them. Happy mylotting!

I haven't worn earings in about 10 years! I've had my ears pierced 5 different times because I'd let the holes close up, then eventually I'd decide I'd want to wear earings again, so I got them repierced. Once a teen I just opened the closed holes myself. (Opened my tongue piercing myself once too, man that was painful!). When I did wear them I liked the big hoops. If I were to wear them now I'd probably choose smaller ones.

I must say, I grimaced at your response. I know I'll regret asking, but how in the world did you open them back up yourself? Or maybe I should be asking why? I had my ears repierced before, but not as many times as you. LOL The first time I got them pierced was when I was 9 years old. Got an infection and panicked, so I let both holes close up. Boy, was my mom mad. LOL She put her foot down and wouldn't let me get them repierced until I turned 18. So, I waited all those years, then I got them repierced. I haven't had to get them redone since. LOL

Just kept pushing the earing through until it broke through the skin. It didn't really hurt too bad, and if it did start to hurt I'd take a break for a few seconds before trying again. I repierced my own ears zillions of times, because I'd wear earings once, then not again for a few months. Every couple months from the age of 14 to the age of 21 I was repiercing them. I had them pierced the first time when I was 5, and the last time professionally when I was 16. As I said, the tongue was worse. I let it close up once, but a month later wanted to put my ring back in, so I did that the same way as my ears, but it hurt like heck! I used a lot of listerine to help numb it, and it took a lot longer than repiercing an ear would.

Haha ,samom ,good discussion ,I think yo may have attracted many to this discussion with the heading lol.Now on the subject at hand I like the little dinky ones in particular knobs because I hate to see anything hanging from a woman ears especially the large ones with a hoop because I keep thinking that these earrings will get hooked into something and bust out their ears

I have three sets of holes in my ears. Over the years I have found that I prefer the little dinky ones because they seem to look more sophisticated to me. When I am going out for the evening I will wear a pair of small hoops in my bottom hole. In the middle hole I will wear a pair of quarter carat diamonds in my middle set of holes and in the top set of holes that I have a pair of 1/8 carat diamond studs that I like to wear. Those are the only pairs of nice earrings that I even own.
