Fast Food Places & Hand Washing?

United States

Everywhere we see signs in public places to make sure we wash our hands. We are also told by the medical field of the importance. So, why don't drive thru restaurants provide those little towelettes or something? You know that if you are driving, chances are that you were somewhere germs were spread and also don't have anything in your car to wash your hands. With how many people these days eat fast food you would think that they would have an option for this! what do you think?

It is not really the resteraunts responsibility for your hygiene. Maybe it would be nice, but I don't think they really need to do this. You could keep towelettes in your car or purse. Take control!!

I do understand what you are saying, but if you can be controlled on how much salt you are allowed to have while out. I'm just saying that so many rules and regulations are put on us, why can't they offer a measly towelette?

It's not a bad idea. It would probably create some good feelings from customers and that is always a good thing. But..it would be another thing they have to buy and could make costs go up. About the salt, I'm not sure how I'm being limited on that when I eat out. Fast food places usually have the little salt and pepper packets, so I could add as much as I please. Anyway, I'm for less regulation, not more. So let's not force the restaurants to hand out towelettes. They can be responsible for keeping the business clean and we'll be responsible for keeping ourselves clean.

Very good suggestion. I hope McDonald's can read your post. LoL. Washing is still the best way to rid your hands of dirt and germs but it's very convenient all the time. Anti-bacterial hand gels or towelettes would do.

Eh I can see offering little towelettes but I personally keep some in the car and I am not a one of those people who washes my hands all the time. I keep them in the car though because of the steering wheel. I have some natural habits that I do without even thinking that I think helps but I also am a big believer that if you try and kill all the germs in your life that you will just be sicker. You need to be exposed to these lesser, smaller, weaker germs so that when the big ones finally make it to you it doesn't kill you or not you out for days. I am pretty well known by my friends as being the guy who gets over illness usually overnight and I think some of that is because I haven't sterilized by entire life. Just an opinion really but good suggestion.
