Supposedly you have a Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Socialvibe and Mylot (and let's include your email address).. Do you have only one password on all of these accounts? Or do you have different passwords on each account? I'm NOT asking about your passwords.. okay?? I just wanna know.. because multiple accounts with different passwords each seem so confusing What are your thoughts?

hi cecille, great question...yes, I have only one password and multiple accounts (fs, fb, multiply, ym and mylot) except at myspace because that's my first account. The reason why I choose to have only one password in most of my accounts for easy access to my accounts for not thinking of certain password in each account, that may be too confusing as you've said. I also happen to have a short memory retention in short memory gap sometimes hehe. I think there's nothing wrong with having only one password but sometimes I think one should be careful in giving their password to their friend make sure that person is trustworthy or else he/she may discover that you are using one password and may have the access of your accounts and do some editing or stalking. That's only my opinion.

I prefer to have separate password for each account that i have because i think it's more safe by doing that way. I never want to have one password for all the accounts that i have. I think it's very dangerous to have only one password for all my accounts, in case it was known by unwanted people, then gone all my money and everything. So, i think it's still wise to have different password for each account that we have, although it may seems very troublesome. I think we should always think safety first.

no im not. multiple accounts and have a 1 password for those all of your accounts is not safe. you put your account to risk. when anyone knew your password at 1 accounts i think those person are trying to open your another account. so like what i said you put your account into risk if u have only 1 password on all of your accounts.

I have several staple passwords to all of my accouts.Usually I set a very simple password to those which are not very important, like forum accounts, unimportant e-mails..but sometimes there will be a limition says my password is too short or too simple,I have to change it to a more complex one.Now it has appeared two passwords..To the very important ones, there will be a important password, this is the third one.Now usually these three passwords can deal with almost my all accounts. At the beginning,I found it confusing to accommodate every password to mutiple acct.'s..then I begin to conclude the passwords also sometimes the questions to the password and their answers..Now I almost have a unique user's name...So those problems solved.....

Well, it is for your personal protection and security to vary your passwords. Create a notepad document wherein you can input all emails and passwords to remind you in case you have a lot of accounts. Having only one password for all accounts make your personal information at risk from malicious people. A lot of savvy techies employ creative ways to get into your account and one way of protecting multiple accounts is having varied passwords. So adopt this technique as well.

I do not use one password for multiple accounts even though it is more convenient this way. I'm wary of the accounts being hacked into, so I use different passwords for different accounts, in a way that is unique and yet easy to remember. I don't have any problems with remembering passwords because I access the sites pretty frequently.

I have multiple accounts of social sites. I used only one email address and password. I make the password critical to avoid being hacked. Well, I have done so many accounts on online earnings and I had a problem remembering different password on it, so what I did, I used only one password to make it easy for me.

for security reasons you have to make different passwords for different accounts. but to make it not confusing, make a pattern for it, so that it would be so easy for you to remember, either birthdates, or names of your brothers and sisters or anything else.

I don't think birthdates are safe.. :( Once my friend used her birthdate as her password for her Friendster account and it has been hacked.. I think passwords does not have something to do with your personal info.

I actually have four passwords that I use in the accounts I have. I have already memorized very well these four passwords so there is no danger of forgetting them. HOwever, sometimes when I am in a hurry I use another password so I could not log in immediately, but then I could easily get the correct one. I don't think it is wise to use only one password in all your many accounts. I am also a member of other sites so I have four passwords that I use, some are used repeatedly, others only once, etc.

Thanks cutie :) I agree. And just like you, I have three-four passwords that I use in different account so each time I log in to my online account sometimes it takes a long time before I finally find out which one among the four is right :) Thanks again and God bless :)

well,‘cause i'm a simple person, so I mostly keep the same password for the website thing. I also knnow that it's not very safe, but comparing with the complication of remembering a lot of passwords,I perfer the unsafe way to keep my website accounts. of course, the simple thing just for the website,as to my real accounts ,I will take a little effort to design some different passwords.

I hope there are no hackers listening so I am going to whisper ,hope you can hear .I HAVE ONE PASSWORD AND USER ID FOR ALL MY FACE BOOK ACCOUNTS BECAUSE I CAN SEEM TO REMEMBER ALL MY PASSWORDS IF I WERE HAVE MANY ACCOUNTS .I think that especially for these social networking sites you can just have one user id and password .

well, I try to have different passwords, and for some time I forget some of the passwords, so I just always go to the forgot password tab of the site. lol. So what I did is I wrote all my passwords in a file, and I protected the file with a password. With that, I would only need to remember one password, and that is for my file.

Nope.! Never. I am using different passwords for different accounts. May be, I would feel little bit hard to remember. But its for security purpose only. Once someone hacked my yahoo account. My good time, I kept some different password for gmail which is my official ID. I suggest everyone to use different passwords for different accounts.
