Recently, I found out about the ONE org campaign called HELP HAITI - DROP DEBT. Campaigns Objective: SIGN THE PETITION TO ASK HAITI'S CREDITORS TO ACT QUICKLY AND CANCEL HAITI'S DEBT. As reported, there are over 100 000 people DIED and hundreds of thousands of people are HOMELESS. Haiti's estimated DEBT is $1 Billion from International Monetary Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank and other creditors. What are your ideas about this? Are you with their campaign objective or is it too much to ask? For me I guess, it can be considered. Haiti's need such kind things badly.

Thanks for the information, summer :) I will check the site and sign the petition immediately.. Haiti is really in dire need of help now especially NOW that they are still experiencing aftershocks.. :( I think this can be one of my ways to help :) I think there's nothing wrong to ask the Haiti's creditors to cancel Haiti's debt.. :) We never know they might agree with it :) All we need during these times is UNDERSTANDING. I hope they agree with the petition. I'll sign the petition immediately. Thanks. God bless the world especially the Haitians.

I agree with you, Cecille. I believe they need that help badly. However, I'm not promoting their petition here, I'm opening a discussion about this concept. I would just like to say that because in case myLot admin reads this and think that I'm promoting the petition. For those who don't know yet, please read myLot guidelines -the DO's Dont's. It is clearly stated there that any forms of promoting or asking people to sign charity or petition. lol. So guys read further to prevent violations. =)
