How to be a great mom????

Okay, there are so many levels of being a good parent that I am perplexed on I think that I am a good parent, but being a great parent. I really wonder if I could ever strive for that element of parenting.
Do you wonder how people view you as a parent? Do you wonder how your kids view you?

Whatever it is that we do to take care of our family is one great evidence of being a great mom. Staying there and giving your best effort at all times even when you are sick or not feeling well, no leave, no calling-in sick.. Because its a 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week responsibility that we undertake in our lives. The fact that we endure doing what we should do to ensure each and every member of our family's welfare makes us a great mom. Not to mention tending to every beck and call of everyone in the house, chores to singing lullabies at night and other what nots!No matter how we do it as long as inside us our intention is to make them better i think we are bound to be called great moms.hoorah!lol :D

Thanks for responding. You gave me a new perspective. I think because now that my kids are all teenagers, it is hard to really see it. There are times I'm yelling at my kids because of the things that they didn't help with and thinking in the back of my mind what a lousy parent I am for doing so.
But, then I realized, that if I didn't yell at them or try and have them help around the house, they wouldn't learn to be independent when they are ready to start their own families, etc.
