Where does your newborn child name came from?Who suggested it?

My parents told me they took my name from the calendar.My wife's name came from her grandparents idea.I think its' the same with others if we look a few years back.Some parents took it from names of Saints especially if they were born on the said Saint's birthday.Others combined the names of their parents.Some parents do some searching for a unique name while the child is still on mother's womb.But I guess nowadays were different some parents give their child two names, which I think the child will have difficulty at first writing their names especially if it's too long when they go to school.My fellow My Lotters, how does your name came about?Thanks for your time.
