India

Guys and gals Yesterday, I had my first ever pay at PayPal by one of my clients! It was not a really great pay - it is only 0.12$ ! I got it from her for signing up in a website! But, when she paid me, PayPal did not credit any money and deducted 0.12$ as a fee! I AM SICK OF THIS! Why has this happened?

Actually it is their fee for the service they provide! You can check out how the fee affects your transaction by visiting here: [http://thefeecalculator.com/] It is better not to use the small amount unless it is a personal transaction for which paypal doesn't charge any fee. But you can check out how exactly your client sent the amount. Did she send it as a business transaction etc. Happy Mylotting!

@kent_help2smile You are saying about withdrawing money from paypal. It is same for Indians too, anything above INR 7000 is free to withdraw otherwise INR 50 is the processing fee. The discussion is about receiving and sending money from PayPal to PayPal or other business activities. PayPal charges fee for that.

Wow, that really sucks, especially when it is the first payout that normally makes people overjoyed.... Anyway, yeah, Paypal does charge a little bit for processing fee, so to ensure that you don't go empty handed, might be worth requesting a payout at a much higher level. I would personally recommend at least 50 cents, but this is up to you. Anyway, just be happy with the fact that you only lost $0.12; I remember there was once when I got $2.50 deducted as a processing fee....
