Hi there! I have had a cellphone for ten years now. And seven of those years, I had the same number before I switched to another network. The reason I switched my number was because the guy I was dating before left me and he was the only person I texted using that number. So I switched networks that were the same as my friends. But yeah, that number lasted for seven years. That was really a long time. How about you guys?

I have had the same cell phone number for about 10 years too. It is a great number and easy to remember and people have offerred to buy the sim whenever I have told them the number. But it is more valuable for me to keep it, so I tell them I would never sell it. _Derek

I'm still hanging on to the same cellphone number for 15 years now. This is the same number I had when I first applied for a cellphone. Of those 15 years, I have switched cellphone units 7 times.

I've had mine for four years but I really need to switch numbers. I changed networks while I was living in New Mexico. When I moved to Colorado I kept the same number and it's become a problem. It mixes up some businesses because their automatic records can't handle living in one state with a phone number from another. Also, some people I've met locally don't have unlimited calling so it's long distance for them to call me. I've put off changing my number because of all the people I'd have to notify but I know that I really need to do it. My cell phone company charges $15 to change the number.

for five years now, I have been using the same number. I just have one other number which I change after sometime because of inactive use. It's difficult to change numbers because most of the people you know and those you are not seeing much has your old number, so I try to keep it with me so that I wont lose contact with my other friends.

This number i'm using right now is almost three years old. Before that, I used a particular number for maybe four or five years. I switched because we had that second account that we couldn't close out because it had a contract.

Hi athinapie! I've had my cellphone number ever since I bought my cellphone ;) So that's like 10 years now. But there was a time during those ten years that I switched to a new cellphone number because someone I didn't know has been texting me these really gross and pervert messages. But after a while I switched back to my old number coz I was kind of like attached to it already and I missed using it. I still received some texts from unknown people saying that they wanted to be my textmate blah blah blah but I just ignored them all and now, I don't receive texts from any anonymous texters anymore :)

Does it mean that you just broke up with a guy after sever years in a relationship? That must be painful. But seven long years is quite a long time. The longest number i had only lasted for four years until it got disconnected when i misplaced my SIM card. When i found it, it was already too late. The problem is all numbers in the SIM cars were lost too.
