I don't know how my mom does it. She can chat over the phone for hours, sometimes, until the battery is out, then she stop. Luckily, our family plan is unlimited talking, otherwise, it would kill all the minutes. For me, I might not have that much topics to chitchat about. The longest conversation I have with my friend is approximately 45 minutes. And my average chatting minutes is 8 to 10 minutes. Sometimes even shorter than that. Can you chat over the phone for hours?

I think only you and my mom can. I couldn't get that much topics to chitchat about. Unless that is a serious business. Otherwise, I rather spend more time on something else rather on the phone.

I feel two hours is less. Because some people are speaking four or five hours continuously. But definitely, its a waste of time.

Hi king..i used to be able to chat over the phone for hours. it was when i haven't got married and still in a relationship with my current husband. we were in long distance relationship at that moment. so, chat via phone is the most possible way to communicate. we're usually chat at midnight to early morning, beacause the cost is lower in that hours LoL. When i'm thinking about that now, i just can't believe that i can have a chat for more 4-5 hours! haha..

It depends on who I'm talking to. Some people I don't talk to all that often so I can easily go two three hours at a time. Other times Its only a few minutes. Some of my longer calls (if they aren't to friends) usually can span several minutes. This of course depends if I'm on hold for any length of time. I use my phone for everything. So having unlimited talk is well worth the money I spend.

I never done that. I rather IM my friend and chat for hours on typing rather than spend my hours on my cell phone. That is too much for me.

for me an hour is long enough for a chat! hehe... anyway, i have not tried talking to a friend over the phone for a long time. just as you my maximum is just 45 minutes, i easily get tried when talking to the phone but if it is personal i can talk for hours! haha! maybe i'm not just into phone conversation that's why i usually run out of topic when talking to a friend on the phone.

Hi, I can really speak many hours over the phone. During my school and college days I have been in phone for more than 2 hours and all. The few months before marriage I have talked about 4 to 5 hours with my husband every day. Sometimes we may exceed about 6 to 7 hours also. The important point to be noted is that My husband was in Aussie and I was in India. I mean it is international calls. So I think I am an expert in talking over the phone. My mom also speaks a lot like your mom.My father used to argue with her regarding it.

I used to be able to talk on the phone for 6 hours plus wit my ex...But now I can't talk on the phone that long anymore. I'm more of a texter now then a phone talker. But i'm sure that will change later on as well...

Before i've got married i chatted over many hours on the phone with my boyfriends. Sometimes i would chat with my friends. After marriage i don't chat much in order to save money. Basically i'm not a talkative person so i don't feel uncomfortable to stop long chatting . I would rather stay at home quietly most of the time. On the other hand it's really hard to endure if i use the phone for too long . My ear hurts.

I can't ,nor do I want. You know, chating too much over the phone is not wasting our life but also bad for our health. And it's not necessary,we can talk face to face ,why we need to say something unnecessary on the phone?Phone is used for making our life better and more conveniet not to do useless things.

I talk for hourse, but then I normally use the "normal" phone, not the mobile phone. There's a special deal for saturdays in the block I live, so I can phone for free everywhere on Saturdays. I used to phone a friend of mine when she was studying in Australia, we talked for hours and I paid 10 cents for it! I like phoning on Saturday :-)

I remember when I was courting my girlfriend, who is now my wife, we would talk on the phone for quite long, perhaps more than half an hour or so. We have never chatted longer than that, as we really don't see the need to chat so much on the phone since we see each other in the company everyday. LOL! Yes, she was my former colleague then.

My mom can too she can chat for hours on the phone just endless talking. I'm different though I can not char for hours on the phone because it makes my head hurt to much and I have to keep it to a mininum. Anyway sometimes I don't really know what to talk about with people on the phone I rather just talk to them in person face to face that way I won't run out of things to say and it wont be awkward.

your mom is just one of the average persons who can really talk for hours on the phone. i am like that too. sometimes i will really talk and talk until the phone says low battery and then i would put it to charge and continue talking at the same time.i love to talk sometimes i do not even have nothing to say so i substitute it for foolishness and sometimes i would just listen minutely on the phone. Most times though i would drop a sleep on the phone. i enjoy talking a lot.

I used to chat over phone for a lone time, years ago. Now, I am done with that. I also don't like that these days. I used to work in night shifts and couldn't sleep at night during weekends. I used to chat with friend during those nights for long hours. It was fun to wake my friends at night for long time and they never minded calling me also.

I used to be able to chat on the phone hours at a time when I was younger. Now I can stand the phone. I am usually on the phone with someone for 15 min now. Unless of course its an important call.

Sometimes I talk on the telephone over hours. . . But it's about work. I read that using your mobile phone for more than 3 minutes per call is bad for the health. And I can say it is, actually. I have headache when I use the phone for hours.

Oh can I talk!! That why I have a talk show on blogtv and blogtalkradio I love talking on the phone but it depends on who I am talking to. Sometimes I just do not feel like talking. When that happens I just do not answer my phone. Sometimes people call me at the wrong time and no matter how much you tell them your busy people keep talking. And when I really want to talk on the phone no one is ever available or they do not want to talk.

I can talk on the phone for 1000 minutes every month for free. That's why I talk with my friends and my parents a lot so I usually spend all 1000 minutes. I live 150 km away from home, so I call my parents every day when I have the time. I also call my boyfriend because he lives far away and my friends when we don't have the time to meet in person. I like chatting over the phone because you can keep in touch with everyone even if you have no time to meet with them, like when you're on the bus or waiting somewhere. The longest conversation I ever had was 2 hours long.
