Handmade Valentines

Handmade Valentines - Little teddy bear holds my heart! Valentines easel cards were fun to make and a bit different then usual.

Do you make your own Valentines or help your kids make them? I just finished mine last night. I made easel cards that stand up so they can be set on a table or dresser. These I made for the granddaughters...my grandson however wouldn't appreciate it! LOL....so do you make your own Valentines?

Hiya Jill, No I have two left hands as I would call it when it come to making things like that. However I do have other ideas like making a nice dinner and supper to make up for it or plenty of hugs to go with it. Wish I could make those cards the feeling is there for it but it never comes out like I want it to. Besides in my House they don´t much care for Valentines Day so I would have to find someone that liked it (grin). He likes being hugged however so deep down I think he really might like it but the gruff side always has to come out so I let my inspiration take me to the Kitchen and see what´s cooking. Have fun Jill I bet those Cards are very nice to look at.

Hiya Jill, Well let´s say I´m not Ferran Adriá. Also they are still alive and kicking in this House so that means whatever I cook gets to them and keeps them going. I can be alright cooking if I really put my mind to it have to be inspired though. I´m looking to put pressure so I can get one of those gadgets where you can even bake bread Chef 2000 or 3000 something is the name I think because here they give it another name. Thing is I´m not really sure where I saw it as there are now at least two of those Shopping Tv Channels one is much cheaper and does the same thing that means I would be able to buy two and make homemade bread and cakes again like before. Would also be able to do my Recipes for Chicken with Orange here is my creativity well one side of it. Take care now.

What a great looking card you made. I can remember years ago helping our kids make Valentines. It was fun and interesting. We had alot of glue all over the table but it was fun. I also helped them address them if they needed me. I don't make any now but really should for our grandkids. The youngest grandbaby would eat it..lol

Your valentine is so cute. No I never made homemade valentines when my kids were in school, I never had the time. But my grandkids make them for me every valentines day and they are so cute better than the store bought ones.

Hi! Yes, I have made Valentines by my own several times for my ex-girlfriend and I like to make some hand made things, because it is fun and I feel very great when I make something qualitative with my own hands. The last Valentine that I have made, was from A4 paper sheet, which i burned on the edges and I have painted in different colors. I have perfumed it and have pasted different applications on it. It was really fantastic and my ex liked it very much!

That card is just adorable! You are so crafty and an easel card to boot, wow! I haven't even thought about Valentine's day but I'm glad you brought it up. Too much on my mind lately, and it has me not even knowing what day it is anymore. Really cute card!

Not since I was a kid. I was thinking about letting my twins make Valentine's for their class this year instead of buying those premade cards. It would not be anything special, just some construction paper that they cut into heart shapes and draw a picture or write a valentine message on them. I figured that would be cheaper and more fun for them. Plus, I don't know about most families, but when my kids bring home cards from school, we end up just throwing them out... so why waste $3 for a box of cards that the kids are just going to throw away? At least if I buy construction paper my kids will have a bit of fun making the cards that the other kids will throw out, lol.
