How to avoid getting kidney stones?

For you to avoid kidney stone you must drink a lot of water by doing this it is difficult for stones to form because it balance salt and minerals in your body. and much better if you eat less of beef, pork, poultry and salty foods.. Eat a lot of food which is rich in fiber and calcium. It is better to prevent having kidney stone than curing it. :)

i got a detox recipe that will surely clease your kidney stones for three days, have this first thing in the morning, mid day and before going to bed, the first is celery/parsely/lime juice/cucumber and water put it in blender or 2 appple/slice of water melon and lime or lemon juic..drink this and avoid fatty and salty foods during the three days of detoxification....to check if it's effective use coffee strainer when you are peeing and check if their are small granules..

Yep I agree with you. It is better to prevent than curing it. So now just eat what is healthy and limit yourself from junk foods and other unhealthy foods and drinks.

Yes I agree, it is better to prevent than curing it. I do like to eat salty food, and my mother too, but I don't have problems in drinking water because I really drink water. I always do it, and I drink coffee and juices. The problem is my mother, she can't do it but she keeps on eating salty foods. We always remind her to refrain from eating salty foods, rather start eating fruits or if she will eat salty foods, she will eat fruits at the same time, but she is so hard headed.

Have a healthy habit. Balanced diet. Less meaty foods, increase drink of water and have plenty of fruits.

Actully my father kind have kidney stones once! I think maybe because he didn't drink so much water!

Yeah, drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day is one of the best ways to avoid getting kidney stones. Kidney stones usually formed because salts can aggregate and form crystals in the kidneys, and hence form the stones which can cause excruciating pain to the sufferer. Limiting salty food, like you mentioned, can also be of help as we now know that kidney stones form because of salt crystallization. Some medications can help if one has kidney stones too; probenecid can help to excrete the excess salts and urinary alkalinisers such as sodium citrate or sodium bicarbonate may help relieve the pain associated with the stones....haha, the last part is just a bit of my two cents and some additional information just for knowledge....

Hi healthbeauty,Yes,i agree with you,drinking 8-12 glasses of water or more can prevent kidney stones.Exercise plus drinking buko Juice will helps a lot to cleans our kidney.Good Luck!
