How Do You Feel About Oprah?

I just wrote on another site that I was reading the book living Oprah by Robyn Okrant and I got a couple of not so complimentary comments about Oprah nothing to terrible, but it would lead me to believe that Oprah is falling out of favor. So what do you think about Oprah, do you still like her, used to like her but no longer like her or never liked her?

I have never really been a fan. It is nothing really personal though I have never really ever gotten in to any of those talk shows geared towards women, it is just not my thing. My wife just loves Oprah though and every once in a while I am subjected to hear something that Oprah said or something about her show. My wife doesn't do it a lot though but every once in a while she can't help herself.

Hi ladym..nice to talk to you again..When it comes to Oprah, I guess my comment would be that I respect her. Through hard work and perserverience she has become one of the richest women in the world. Nobody gave her anything, she worked hard and I admire that. I guess I like her too. She's an animal lover so that buys her big points with me!! She is also pretty generous with her money but then again, if she dosen't give it away, the government takes it away so which would you rather? I'd much rather give it..It will be strange not to have her show on anymore but I think I've heard that she is pursuing some other tv venture. Do you know anything about that? I think that the people that bad mouth her are probably jealous of her but thats just my opinion. I wish her the best in whatever she does next and more likely it will turn to gold just like everything she touches!!

I do not like Oprah anymore. I haven't for a few years now. I think, as a very popular talk show host, she has a lot of influence. Many people hold what she has to say as a sort of gospel. I liked her until she started getting involved in politics. She always said she would stay out of the political realm. She said that people should make up their own minds politically. But, then she very openly endorsed Obama. This seemed to go against her original philosophy. I lost respect for her when she did that.

I have watched Oprah from the very beginning and still like her very much. I just wish she wasn't going off the air in September of 2011. Right now she is having repeats of her show and I wish I knew why. I think Oprah has been very informative and trusting over the years and will be definitely missed coming into my living room each week. I just wonder what they will do with that timeslot.
