can you sleep with lights on or you would prefer to sleep with lights turn off? for me i prefer turned off. it relaxes my eyes more and gives me more sleep. but i can still sleep when the light is turned on. i already get used to it since my room mate is really that selfish that even its already morning and the sun is up, she still turns her lamp shade on. so what lights on or lights off? have a nice day mylotting!!!!

Either... But I prefer to sleep with the lights turned off. Practicality wise, to save energy of course. haha! Nevertheless, when I sleep at a friend's house and they would ask me if I can sleep with th lights turned on or turned off, I consider their preference. Cause I can still sleep soundly even when it's on. =)

Switching off the lights when going to sleep saves electricity. We already have this implied responsibility to switch the lights off. It has become the rule of the house for most families for practical and economical reasons.

Lights off. Though if I'm really tired I'll be drooling in my sleep with no care in the world. It doesn't matter if the lights are on or there's loud music playing. All I care about is that I have my favorite pillow with me.

I prefer to sleep with the lights off. It is harder for me to fall asleep when there are lights on in the room.

I have to sleep in the dark. Sometimes I'll sleep through sunrise and that's fine, but I'm already asleep. So it doesn't matter at that point in time. As long as light isn't streaming in on my face I'm perfectly fine. The dark is better and it helps to better protect my eyes. Yeah they are damaged enough I don't need to add to it.

If I am trying to sleep then the lights must be off. If I am very tired then I can sleep with the lights on. If I am really tired I can sleep almost anywhere even on a hardwood floor or while sitting on a desk.

It's strange because I can sleep with the lights on but prefer not to. But then I prefer to have the TV on when I go to sleep so there still is some light.

Lights turn off, because it also relaxes my eyes for the long day in school. My husband also prefer to have the lights to be off. So, I don't have a problem in sleeping.

I prefer to sleep wiht the lights off. When you go to sleep and close your eyes everything turns dark. So there is no real point of leaving the lights on it it's dark when your eyes are closed. I also relaxes me when the light is off to know Im not wasting money. I understand that young kids are scared of the dark so it is okey for them to sleep with the lights on. But me I prefer the lights off for the best sleep.

if i am not mistaken there are reasons why you shouldn't sleep with your lamp turned on. as i recall there are hormones that wouldn't be produced when you sleep with you lamp turned on, the effect is cancer on somewhere. so i prefer to turn it off, more relaxing...

Yes, I can sleep with the lights on. However, I don't prefer it. I'd much rather the lights be off than on as it's easier to fall asleep that way. Happy mylotting!

I always turn off the nights when I go to sleep. I am not afraid of the darkness. And it is good for ourselves when we fall asleep in the darkness. Besides, I don't want to waste the energy and therefore I will turn off the lights when I am sleeping. I love China

Lights off in my room but there is an outside hall light. Mostly because, I wear glasses and when I have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I am half asleep and do not think of putting them on. Let's just say that my vision is limited in the light and in the dark, it is just asking for a disaster. So, I leave the light in the hallway, to find my way to the bathroom should nature call in the middle of the night.

To be honest, for me it doesnt really make any difference. I don't have any difficulty in sleeping as long as I have something to rest my head or back on I can easily doze off. :D But if I were to choose, I'd prefer to have the lights turned off.. it makes the room colder, quieter and more conducive for sleeping. :D

While I can sleep with the lights on (and I have done so in the past, and not on purpose) I prefer to sleep in the dark - It like a thing which naturally conditions my body and allows it to go to sleep. Plus, with the rise in the cost of electricity, I wouldn't like to pay for that bill when it comes...if I slept with the light on.

I can't sleep when the lights are on. I doesn't having the habit to sleep when the lights are on and my family also sleep by switching off the lights. When the light is being on and i felt sleepy than i put a clothes on my eyes then i sleep.
