I did use Depo a long time ago. I have had my tubes tied for 6 years now, but when I used Depo I hated it. It made me have break-through bleeding the whole month. I almost never got a break from bleeding. A lot of women end up not bleeding at all when they use this form of birth control. But you never know which way it will happen for you until you try.

yeah, i had the long bleeding too, but now i get body pains, dizziness, and all the other symptons u can think of ,my doctor is telling me that it is too strong for my body, since i just had a baby all body chemistry changes. I would not advise anyone to take it. the main reason for me taking it was because i suffer from bad periods and terrible pains.

I had the birth control that you get five little strips of hormone in your arm years ago. It was suppose to last for five years. Which is the same hormones as the depo injection you all are talking about. I had to get it removed for medical reasons. One I was bleeding way to much. I was passing clots the size of the palm of my hand. I had major pains. I was told by my doctor when it was removed that I would not be able to get the depo- injection. I do not recommand to any lady to get it.

I have not personally taken it, as I had 3 different friends that said they wouldn't recommend it. They all put on a lot of weight.
