Do you hug your spouse when you are sleeping? I saw tv, every time they just hug together and seems so loveable. But for me, I can't fall asleep when I hug my husband, and he put his hand under my neck will make me uncomfortable, so every night when we stop talking, I just face the outside of the bed then fall asleep. I try many times to face to my husband's side, but when I wake up I just found my back was facing my husband's side? Am I weired?

I don't think you're weird, it's just that you are comfortable. If you were to sleep in a way that was uncomfortable, you might wake up sore or with a stiff neck and that is no fun. Sometimes they show things on tv that would be ideal but not real.

I think some people can and some people can't.

I can lay on my side with an arm around them or with their arm around me but as far a a hug goes, no....I would feel too closed in if I couldn't move when or how I wanted to. I prefer to sleep on my side without anyone touching me, though. I can sleep just about any way but don't like waking up aching because it was uncomfortable or awkward.

I toss and turn through the night. I'll start by cuddling with my husband, and then stop and turn over, sometimes telling him to cuddle with me, so we'll toss and turn through the night.

We get good enough sleep. Most days I have to wake up earlier then he does, but we live where I work (I work for family) so I can get up right when I have to "clock in" and be ready, etc. He'll sleep in, but we don't toss and turn and really wake up that much. I mean we toss and turn, we just don't wake up, atleast I don't...

Hi,shan,I don't know bcz I don't have my spouse yet.But I can understand ur situation, the film alway shows wife and husband hug together when they fall asleep,it is so sweet ,so much love.I think u r not weired bcz it is human need, something about privacy space even between couples.

I am the type of person that would not be able to sleep like that as i like space when i go to sleep.I have only ever tried to go to sleep like this once.but like you i woke up with a stiff neck as well as i also found myself waking up earlier. There are people that can sleep like that, but i am not one of those people.

I think that its a very common thing. I know at night when I climb into bed I'll usually hug and give him a kiss before I go to bed, but usually I'll sleep with my back to him, and he sleeps with his back to me. Though he does like to close the gap between us so our backs are touching in sleep. Though He usually doesn't make an effort to hug me except on days where he's simply not going anywhere that day.

No, not at all..you are not weird. I have fallen asleep hugging my husband or he hugging me but it's not the norm. I guess I have to be very tired or almost half asleep to fall asleep in the same posture. The thing is I need room to stretch out and feel comfortable. Also because my husband is a light sleeper so If I move a little he kind of wakes up and I feel like I'm punished and I CAN'T move..lol..I hate that. I can't unwind and feel comfy. I can fall asleep by just putting my hand on his arm or something...because I have room to move/get comfy.lol

Yeah, I think that's just romantic fiction, unfortunatly. When I moved in with my girlfriend, I found the same thing. /She can't sleep like that either, and I'm not sure I could. I'd always dreamed of "falling asleep in each other's arms," and I'm sure it does happen. But I can't imagine someone staying like that all night without waking up sometime. So, no you're not alone.

You are not weired. It is just not possible to hug and sleep. You can hug together for some time, afterwards usually either of the partner just turns to one side, and the other hugs them from the behind. This is one of the best positions for sleeping, with your partner hugging you from the back.We always sleep like this. Either me or my wife, will hug each other from the back.

i think it was just normal.since you are not comfortable sleeping if you are being hug.i dont see any problem with that.that doesn't mean that there is not love its just that you dont want to be hug when you sleep or your not used to it.am sure a lot of people are also like that and there is no way that you are weird.

Hi. shan0822. I don't think that you are weird at all. I don't sleep facing my husband either. I may fall asleep on his chest that is at times. When I am laying on his chest, I am usually awake. I can't sleep in his arms all night long, because I will feel achy when I wake up in the morning. I love him the same even when I don't sleep in his arms at night. And he loves me the same way too.

No, you are not weird. Usually when we fall asleep my spouse hugs me and my back is to him. I don't know how long that lasts. All I know is that when I wake up in the morning we are each on our own side of the bed facing the outside of the bed. Obviously we don't stay hugging all night long.

i think why u always backing your husband whenever you wake up is because when you face him , he breathes. the breathes is warmer and it disrupts you. i have not sleeping with my spouse coz haven't got one. T-T but logically speaking, i think its because of that.

Well i you are not strange! For me and my wife loves to sleep hugging and both of us sleep well by that. And for most of them it cannot be comfortable due to sweat or anythings. So sleep at your comfortable way.

Sometimes, we usually hug each other specially when we are about to sleep. Until we realize we can’t hardly breathe anymore so I turn my back on him, but he still hugs me behind my back.

I don't think you're weird because everyone is different. Don't ever base the quality of your relationship on tv and movies. Even though what you see may seem realistic, every relationship is different and imperfect. Personally, my boyfriend and I cuddle very close when we sleep, but we don't always stay that way all night. He puts his arm under my pillow, so I do not sleep directly on his arm. He finds it comfortable and so do I most of the time. However, everyone is different! He gets too hot more than I do as we sleep so frequently he will be on one side of the bed with no blankets and I will be curled up on the other side with all the covers on me. We usually lay down in bed hugging each other close and then I turn the other way and we spoon. But once we fall asleep, we are all over the place all night. However, when we wake up, we cuddle again before getting out of bed!
