I'm so crazy with this film after seeing the trailer on the cinema the other day. Okay, I haven't watched the film yet but, I'm planning to see it by friday next week. "Dear John" is another great story created by "Nicholas Sparks". The author of "Message in A Bottle", "A Walk to Remember" and my all-time favorite "The Notebook". I also love the lead cast of "Dear John" Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. You may check the trailer on youtube. By the way here's the link; www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3nA9AG1AWk Tell me what you think of this film. Happy Lotting!

Hello Danity! I just heard about this movie awhile ago from the news in T.V. I am also expecting that this is a good movie, particularly a love story movie. I like Channing, and Amanda Seyfried is she the best friend of Megan Fox in Jennifer's Body, right? Anyways, according to the news, Dear John surpasses Avatar's debut. It has $30.5M while Avatar has only $22.9M. Quite interesting. I will watch this movie, too! It's not yet showing in theaters here in our country particularly in our area but will definitely watch it as soon as it is available. Nice discussion.

Oh yes, Amanda also a lead cast of Jennifer's Body where she shares the limelight with Megan Fox. Her other previews films are "Mean Girls", where she played as a dumb pretty girl and "Mamamia", where she became more popular and I learned that she can really sing beautifully. Really? never heard about the box-office thing. They beat Avatar?lolz...crazy! Wow.

Hey danitykane, it is a sad story. i had read the book already and I don't like the ending. IT made me cry. i don't want to spoil it but I think if you will watch it on cinema you bring a tissue, one pack. I am planning to watch it on February something too, but I know this time I will not cry a bucket, unless they have a great acting. Anyhow, I am watching because of Channing Tatum, because for the first time he is doing a lovestory film now. How I love to see him in a lovestory film.

I am a huge fan of the movies adapted from Nicholas Sparks novels and one of my favourites you didn't mention is "Nights in Rodanthe". I can't wait to see "Dear John" either and also "The Last Song" which comes out this year as well. Although I will probably wait to watch it on DVD, because the last one of his movies I saw in the cinema was spoiled by idiots shouting out the twist and don't want that to happen again because it really spoils things. Adding to the excitement there are 2 more of his novels lined up to be turned into movies those are "True Believer" and "The Lucky One" so should have some more great movies to watch over the next year or so.

Hi! I love Nicholas Sparks' books. All of them are really awesome! :) The stories and how he wrote it was really very wonderful, you can really feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their shoes. The movie was a bit disappointing; that is, if you've read the book. In the movie, they totally changed the ending from the one in the book. In my opinion, the ending in the book was way better than that of the movie's. :) Have you read the book?
