I put plastic cover in the Keyboard but......

I had to take it out again. because it was so hard to type. Last month my three year old keyboard finally gave in. when ever i type something, it leads me to some where else, like the twilight zone. and it had some letters taken out because of my aggressive typing So, that day i decided to purchase a key board worth five dollars brand new delux. but still i fear that my typing could loose a lot more letters again in the keyboard that's why i tried to put a plastic cover but it was just....to hard to type. the pharmacy where i buy medications too had their keyboard covered with plastic but torn. i just want this board clean. and my mouse is starting to act crazy too.

Tssss, you're like my mother. She encases every possible appliance in plastic so that it doesn't get dusty. I agree with her in terms of keeping these appliances dust-free, but plastic also warps in our climate and may do more harm because our appliances aren't able to "breathe". I suggest you try and find a keypad protector, I'm not sure if there is one available, but its made of rubber and it allows you to type even if there is a cover on your keyboard.

You had a magic keyboard that opened the gate to the twilight zone? Groovy. Was everything in black and white, or was it color?Did you see that one guy who just wanted to read his books, but his glasses fell off his face and they broke? If so, did you try to help fix the glasses, or did you just point and laugh at him? That episode was a classic.

There's this classic episode of Twilight zone called "Time Enough at Last". It's based off a short story by Lyn Venable. It's about a bank Teller who really enjoys reading, but other people around him see it as a waste of time, and they taunt him because of it. An H-Bomb destroys the city, and and he's knocked unconscious while in a vault. He wakes up to find that he is the last person alive. As he reaches to pick up one of his books, his glasses fall off of his face, and shatter on the ground. He begins to cry and then says "That's not fair...That's not fair at all. There was time now. There was all the time I needed... ! It's not fair!"

You type a lot? If you type as much as getting those characters fade from your keyboard, you might as well be well oriented with where each characters are on your keyboard. I mean, that's the only idea that I could think of on why your characters fade. You get to type so much, you don't even look at your keyboard anymore. If you bought a top notch keyboard, I think the characters would last long enough. I mean, you can tell with just how they look, right? The letters and other characters are covered with anti fade something I suppose.. The one we have at work, most characters are already gone so my colleague just wrote some characters on pieces of paper and taped them on every designated key that already had character faded. With the mouse, I guess you just have to replace it if its not working as it use to. The mouse that we have doesn't work with our typical mouse pad anymore so we do try to use different surfaces and fortunately, it became tolerable again when we used a place mat or the ones that we use when we eat at the table

hello ratyz5, unfortunately, my keyboard is not a topnotch and i can see the letter s is slowly fading. well, it's alright if the letter vanished. like you said, just find letters on paper, cut and then paste it in letters missing on the key board. i have done that.

I see.. Well, in my case, I didn't do that because I really can't do them pretty well and they easily get removed after a couple of intense typing rounds so I decided to purchase keyboard stickers that are actually made to stay on the keys of the keyboard and not fade at all. They also come with different characters if you prefer to have them with alternate letters. The one that I bought also had Korean characters on them.

i bought this jelly keyboards for my son spilled his drink on our keyboard. now i am no longer worried that he will spill drink on it again nor i am no longer worried that he will scatter his cookie crumbs all over it. it is well protected for the keyboards are jelly like and i can even roll it after using so it can give more space at the table. the mouse? i dont have any solution for that.... i always end up purchasing a new one when it acts really crazy.

Hello Seven, i would like to know how or where to by this jelly thingy. i know i somehow saw one in a bank but am not sure. thanks anyway for the advice, maybe it will prevent me from buying another key board for the next three years. the mouse is still a bit working though but hard to press.

Hehehe. Well, I can just imagine typing with a plastic cover on your keyboard.. It is hard.. Maybe you should just clean the keyboard daily so there is not really need to put a cover on your keyboard.
