Attitude is Everything

I don't know how many times in my life I have heard that I have to maintain a positive attitude. As I get older, it seems that maintaining a positive attitude is the secret to having good things happen. I am a firm believer that attitude begets attitude. I have noticed that if I am in a negative attitude then everything I do is colored by those negative thoughts and nothing will be good enough. A positive attitude can carry the day...it is a bit infectious.

Hi, KD! I inherited the family's deep depressions, so most of my life was spent in a real funk. Somehow, after surviving a lot of really horrible things, my attitude changed, and, although I still need to treat the depression, I'm one of the most positive people I know! It's great to finally love living every day!

I agree. Life is hard. I think in the modern world we tend to forget what a fragile thing life is. I think that accepting that life is hard and still maintaining a positive attitude is the secret. Thanks for your comment.

I agree that keeping positive thoughts is hard. I think that is all starts from the initial thought.

It's amazing how much a positive attitude can improve your life. It's been proven that the human mind is directly connected to the body and can direct its actions...if you'll notice, those who are negative tend to gain more and more health problems over the years, and of course, these people only complain and whine about these things, which in turn makes them worse. It's also true that if you're always joyful, good things tend to happen more often. With my joyful attitude I've been offered jobs on the spot when I've simply been a consumer, I've gotten into great conversations with some interesting people, and some people seem to simply brighten up in reaction and marvel at my happiness, as if it's so rare. It is, and it's sad. I wish more people would realize how short life is and how little time they have to enjoy it. I have an average life according to society's standards, yet I am always so grateful and desire nothing more. Can you imagine how much better life would be for some people if they weren't wanting more and more and more? If what they had was great by itself, what is there to be negative about? A little change in outlook and attitude can change your life...sounds corny, but I found out firsthand.

Yeah your exactly correct and great quote.. attitude cannot be thought by anyone and we need to cultivate it ourselves.. so positive attitude is better and its hard to have it all time.. negative thoughts can arise in mine such a way that they could be made positive sooner..
