i am an Indian and i love my country very much..if i explain about my country the day will be too short for it..so IN SHORT INDIA is a place where you are free to do any thing..there are not at all any boundations..as it is a democratic country..but yes of course you are not allowed to do crime..i mean you can do infinite number of legal activities..not only this but iin our country there are many religions..like hinduism,muslims,sikh,etc..so that was a short summary about my wonderful country..

I think India is a facinating country, that is almost too big and diverse to be considered a single place! You could spend years travelling around India and still not see everything it has to offer. I do think India is a country that has its priorities wrong though, and it seems to be developing in a directionless way. It is a country in need of better leadership at all levels of society. There is an enormous gap between the super-wealthy elite in Indian society, and the millions who struggle to survive in abject poverty. This gap needs to be addressed! I saw a documentary the other day on the BBC about India that had a shocking statistic for me: More people in India have a mobile phone, than have access to a proper flushing toilet! Crazy!

needless to say I am proud to be an Indian. The variety in culture, food and everything else is dazzling to say the least. Our cricket team has made us proud by claiming the No.1 spot. More than that, there are other famous personalities that are from India. Seriously, India is a wonderful place to live in.

I've only ever heard amazing stories about india. Very culturally rich, like you said. And many of my friends are obsessed with the food there!! Even if more than likely it's nothing alike here in England to the genuine Indian foods! But personally, I'm not that inclined to visit it. I had the chance recently, and decided to rather explore south east asia for longer. I always thought many small closely neighbouring countries is more exciting than one huuge land all founded by similar rules and governments. Merely for the belief that cultures vary more deeply across borders than distance. Yet the more I think about it, the more I would like to know if my assumption is right! Is there anywhere in particular that you'd advise visiting in india..? Where abouts are you from?

indian gal? - i admired lot of things about India
India, i still remember how i started liking this country in year 1994 when Ms. India ( Sushmita Sen) won the Ms. Universe i really admired her a lot, it was 16 years ago since i liked this country i learned their basic language (hindi) tasted their food(biryani, curry, chapatti, kulfi, kaju katri,lassi...etc.)attending their festival (diwali)visiting temple here in Manila (Hare Khrisna Temple-ISKCON)watching Bollywood movies (Om Shanti Om)(3 Idiots)(Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United)(Saawariya the list goes on) admiring their Bollywood stars ( Deepika Padukone,Salman Khan,Sharukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan) love to listen to their songs ( Deewangi,Kabhi Kabhi Aditi,Dailamo,I'm inlove,Dard-E disco) wearing dresses (salwar, kurta, saree,) accessories (bangles, bindi, foot ring, ear clip chandelier earrings)i even bought an Indian cook book too bad can't cook Indian foods so the solution eat at Indian Resto ( Swagat, Bollywood,Namaste India Cuisine)i also have an Indian Bestfriend living here in Philippines plus my Indian friends in different state of India (New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Hyderbabad, Bangalore,Mumbai). I agreed that India is really creative having Taj Mahal, if there is one thing i don't like it is " ARRANGE MARRIAGE" maybe becoz i do believe in LOVE MARRIAGE..........Like my friends told me INDIA really hooked me hope someday i can visit the famous Taj Mahal, experience the Back Water of Kerala, go swimming at Goa, maybe a snow fight will be possible in Jamnu and Kashmir, ride at BMTC famous volvo buses in Bangalore, visit the India Zoo to see the white tiger (roar),feel the night life at Mumbai and most important is to see my Indian friends there. I hope it explained how do i feel about India

I think India is an important ally to my country, the US. It's the largest Democracy in the world and has an interesting culture and history. Indian People seem to be very intelligent as we have a lot of people from India here in high professions, especially Doctors. The women are very attractive too.
