Hello friends, We all watch cartoons. There was a time when only a child would love to watch these animation films. So many things about cartoon films have been changed since then. Walt Disney was the leader of this revolution of course. Now cartoon films have become serious work of art. Even grown ups watch and enjoy animation films. I guess each of you has your own favorite too. I've watched so many of them myself. Spirit, Road to Eldorado, Old Classics by Walt Disney, The Shrek Series - they are one of the best creations I've really enjoyed. What about you? What is the animation film you've enjoyed the best? Please share your experience with us. Take care God bless you all

My favorite is KunFu Pana! Very funny and i love moments of fights, animation and story is well build. I love sentences from this cartoon movie, it's really inspiring here my two favorites quotes: "Nothing happen by accidents" (means that all things and situation have a reason even if we think that we did a mistake or something else) and "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mistery, but Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present." Beautiful neh?

Hello Sushie, "There is no secret recipe...." That was so encouraging. Yes, this is a complete movie, complete in all respect. If you believe there is a recipe only then it exists. This has a very deep, symbolic meaning. All you have to do is you have to believe. There was a movie that was made on this very theme. That movie was animation too and it was about Christmas. The poster had a train and a boy in it. I can't remember the name. But that was a really nice movie too. Thanks for participating dear. Take care

Uhm, Transformers? The one released in 2007, Michael Bay production? The one which tells something about Megatrons, are you talking about that movie? That movie has lots of special affects and heavy doses of computer graphics too. But can that movie be categorized as a cartoon film? Thanks for the response Take care

Being a kid i used to watch Tin tin a lot and i remember i didn't used to let my family members watch any other show when i was watching Tin tin.I liked it because it was fun plus education for me and every new show Tin tin was in another country so that way it was it was quite adventurous also. When i remember those days then it feels quite nice and whenever i get chance i still watch cartoons But now the cartoons are quite fast paced and are sort of different from those like tom and jerry and tin tin.

The Incredibles for films, while for cartoon series it is Avatar. I think it is in Nickelodeon. For Japanese cartoon series, my children and I love The Full-Metal Alchemist. Don't laugh. I'm already 37 and still watches cartoons with my kids. It's our bonding activity. I think you cannot take the child out of me even when I retired.

We share the same interest ATV. I think i even like cartoon movies more than my kids. It's one thing that we don't quarrel with as far as who holds the remote control, that is when we are watching cartoons. We have only one enemy which is my wife, who for the longest time can't fully understand our passion for cartoon movies.

Hi, The Incredibles is incredibly good and probably one of the finest action packed animation movies ever made. It is funny and serious at the same time. It has moments of suspense, encouragement and humor, probably all you need to make a movie complete in all respect. I think there is a child in every one of us. This part not only loves cartoon films, it loves other children, it loves to play and it has the minimum expectations. No matter what the outside world thinks or does, this child within us remains always happy. God bless you

Hello, Yes, those were the classic ones. Perhaps our next generation will also love to watch them. Mickey and Donald had some subtle differences. Donald is quite serious, he thinks he is good at managing almost everything. Though deep inside, he is quite soft and understanding he is tough outside, at least that is what he tries hard to show. This attitude of him complicates the matter rather than solving it. Mickey is portrayed as a rather carefree person. He faces terrible hardships in his way, but due to this carefree nature, he is wiggles out. He is funny, sometimes romantic. The Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Hercules were also very good films. Thanks for sharing this with us. God bless you

I like those Shrek series too. I don't watch much of these animated films, but Simpsons the Movie was also good. And Toy Story from my childhood. It always brings up some good memories from the past.

Hello, Shrek is funny and at the same time very romantic. As I've mentioned earlier, most of these animated movies are symbolic. Though the story they tell us is apparently unrealistic, but there is a subtle meaning in everything it shows. The clever and well thought out incorporation and delineation of characters make them favorites for person of all ages. Toy Story quite successfully depicts a wonderful friendship. The stress in the relationship, finally the realization and reunion. It was great indeed. Thanks for your response Take care

Hello, True indeed. Those cartoon films are the instances as to what extent human creativity and aesthetic sense can go. I've heard a lot about dragon ball but never actually watched it. One of my students was quite enthusiastic, he couldn't stop telling me the story. Tom & Jerry is all time favorite. Thanks for the response God bless you

Hi getbiswa2000! When I was a kid, I love watching Astro boy and Doraemon series. I also love watching Tom and Jerry. Last year, I really enjoyed watching the movie "UP." Being a grown up doesn't stop me from watching cartoons and anime. I really enjoy watching these type of movies. Happy mylotting!

Hi, Thanks. Just call me Biswa. Thats my name. I have seen the flying house in trailers but never actually managed to get enough time to watch UP. I have never heard of Astro Boy or Doraemon series, but I am making a text file putting together all recommendations made by friends and I will watch them someday. The animation films were not so popular among grown ups. I mean, I've seen people prohibiting their child to watch these movies. But within a few years, there is a huge change kicked in. I now see those parents sitting together with their children to watch those animations. This is a great thing. I appreciate your response God bless you

This discussion reminds me of when he was a child, when it was a lot of cartoons that aired on television, ranging from Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Popeye, Tom & Jerry, and so on. But over time, films like that, for the moment is very rare, as the development of computer technology capable of making animated films with a smooth motion with high resolution level. Call it the latest such as Avatar, The Ants, Ice Aged, Toy Story, and so on. In fact, I really miss the movie from Walt Disney with the characters like Donald Duck and his friends made in computer animation. Hopefully, the Walt Disney would bring the characters are animated and made the movie.

Hi, Yes, I used to watch those movies too. In fact, I still watch them. They are the classics. I rarely see the same level of creativity in cartoon series that come on television. The level of ingenuity in animation films of course have increased to a great extent. When I used to watch animations made by Walt Disney or Tom & Jerry only thing that came in my mind was pure fun. But today's animations are based on quite serious thoughts. They are like any other enriched social movie. What is done in ordinary cinema, can also be done through animations. The credit for this revolution goes of course to Walt Disney. Take care God bless you

Hello, Actually SIMPSONS is a very cool series indeed. I agree that to fully understand the humors in it one has to be little grown up. Today cartoon movies are not made for children only. They are being equally popular among adults. That is a very positive sign. Thanks for the response God bless you

Hello, Spiderman and Batman is one of the most loved action animation indeed. But Batman, is quite different than any other action series. It is basically the story of an ordinary man, with an extraordinary strength, and I am glad it is not a superpower. It is totally acquired. Also batman always had something dark and secret which I really really liked. Superman, I think, was a story of yet another inhuman superpower, and there is nothing new about it, though it was quite popular animation series too. Thanks for the response God bless you

Hello! This is an interesting topic for discussion, many of us are "kids-at-heart." I agree that Finding Nemo is a great choice, but personally for me, Disney's Tarzan is my favorite Disney cartoon of all time. And I love the soundtrack! I enjoyed watching it over and over again. I also love the Shrek series because of its humor and it's like all of your favorite fairy tales rolled into one great film.

Hi, Nice to hear that you loved Tarzan. I will suggest you see another movie made by Walt Disney. Hercules. It has really nice soundtracks too, like Lion King and Tarzan. I liked the song "I've often Dreamt.." the most. It is by Michael Bolton, I think. Shrek series are also quite good animations indeed. Thanks so much for participating in this discussion God bless you

There are a lot on my list but so far i consider "Finding Nemo" as the best. It's a very well thought off film that i can't really find fault in it. It's something made for everyone. You can learn lessons from it if you are an adult, you would also love it if you are a kid. even the cast seem to fit as if the roles are really made for them. special mention is Helen De generes who made a very good job in playing "Dory". I only have good words for this cartoon film. Even my kids can watch this movie over and over again and still get excited about it.

Hello, Yes, this movie is nearly perfect. There are lots of things to learn from that movie. Though those things are quite subtle and they never came surfacing as if it is a documentary of some kind. No matter how old are you, this film will always give you good time. I think you have a great relationship with your child. I appreciate it. I think it is the child in yourself that makes you so liberal and generous. God bless you

Hello, Yes, I can tell how excited you are. I also feel really excited when it comes to movies, especially the animated ones. Cartoons by Walt Disney were classics. They will be watched and admired forever. The quite recent movies which are made in 3Dimensional graphics, are awesome too. Lion King by Walt Disney is one of my most favorites. Thanks for your response God bless you

Finding Nemo was a great animated film! I liked that it was Nemo and his Dads' relationship that was the heart of the film. And is it Dorrie (?) the kind, warm, fogetful fish who kept me laughing and smiling thru many parts of the story.
• India
8 Feb 10
Hello, I completely agree with you. Yes, Nemo and his dad's relationship is the essence of the whole movie. I was quite amazed at how the fact that a father can do almost anything to protect his child, was so successfully developed through the entire movie. Dorrie, through out the movie, made us laugh, relaxing the atmosphere of suspense from time to time. A great movie indeed. God bless you

The most famous, The Beauty and The Beast, The Hunchback of Notredam, The Mickey Mouse series, Pinoccio, there are so many classics made by Walt Disney. Thanks once again for your participation
