Will the increasing popularity of PHP will adversely affect job opportunities in .Net. What's ur opinion? Share your opinion with me. Will .Net can survive this pressure.

I dont think it will affect much because when you see most of the third party controls that we use are normally more compatible with .net rather than php and also most of them are using .net platform for the development.. so I dont think it will affect as such..

I really agree with you. But at present more vacancies arise in PHP. I had experienced it personally. I hav got 3 months of experience in .Net and can do web applications independently. Still, I am not getting any job. When I attend interviews every interviewer ask same question. " Do you know PHP". I am fed up with this.

Hi, Well firstly, I'd like to say that I don't think PHP will replace .NET , after all .NET is written for Windows exclusively , so it is the most compatible platform with the OS. However, PHP is important its easy MySQL database management and it's not hard to cramp up with it.You'd find it handy sometime when programming. Secondly, about your job seeking I'd say that you shouldn't give up your hopes, still you've been working with .NET for 3 months only and most of the companies want more experienced people. You'll find your job don't worry. Have you tried www.craigslist.com ? I've heard there are a lot of job opportunities. Best wishes, Norbert

Thanks for your reply. I know there are vacancies available for experienced persons. But in today's scenario, its very difficult to get a job for fresh graduates.
