Obviously, you learn your first table manners at home and it is where you usually should practice it first.I don't know about you but this is my case and perhaps of every other person I personally know. I mean, why in the first place shouldn't you be minding your manners whether at home or somewhere else? It's not just for show, it's like a standard for civil measures, conduct, etc. I firmly believe that table manners should be learned, taught, and practiced at all times required and necessary.

I think I follow the basic table manners when eating at home. I hold the knife in my right hand and don't use hands to pick remains of food from the plate and so on. I don't follow more detailed manners, like placing cutlery in right order on the table. And one thing I don't do, is that I don't hold myself back when it comes to burping. I know it's ill-mannered, but I just like to end the enjoyment of the meal with a decent burp!
