What do you make for dinner when you don't feel like cooking?

I have been really busy today and it's getting too late to make anything that takes very much time. Also, I'm getting kind of tired. We have some leftovers that I could reheat, or we could make sandwiches. I don't want to get fast food or take-out. I hate nights like this because I would rather make a nice meal, but I just don't have the time or the energy. Usually, I enjoy cooking. What do you make when it's late or you are too tired to cook?

Instant noodles. Or sometimes steamed vegetables. It's easy and not so hard to do. When I'm in a good mood it would be pasta.

I'm living on them since they are the cheapest thing around. I have to save my allowance so I can go out and EAT with my friends.

I forgot about instant noodles! I have a lot quite a few packages in the cabinet. My son likes to make them when he gets home from school.

I will put a frozen pizza in the oven, or just boil some hot dogs. I also like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or a ham sandwich when I don't want to cook...

Sandwiches are one of my favorite quick meals, too.

I do meal planning each week so we don't have to deal with this. If I make a cassrole I will try to make 2 so I can have one in the freezer for alater time. Soup and sandwiches are always a good choice if you need a fast dinner.

I do plan our meals ahead of time, but sometimes an unexpected situation will come up and I won't be able to make what I had planned for a specific night. I do need to make a few things and freeze them for such occasions. My family doesn't care for casseroles, but I do like to freeze an extra pan of lasagna when I am making it.

Normally we keep some quick meals in the freezer. Hot dogs, lasagna, etc. Plus there are some quick things that can be cooked...hamburger helper, soup from a can, chili...plus there's always grilled cheeses, or reheating leftover, or cereal, or sandwiches.

Happens to me all the time, so I have a pretty good supply of chimichangas and pizza rolls on hand. I try not to eat them too often (cause they really can't be that healthy), but some weeks that is all I get for dinner. Another option (which won't help you tonight, sorry) is to cook up a bunch of food on the weekends, then freeze it, that way you can have 'tv dinners,' only you actually know what is in them.

Those are good ideas. I do like to make meals and freeze them. I haven't done that in a while. I guess I should.

The Hungry Man dinners are a great idea, Logan. I should have a few of those around for nights like this.

I usely get take outs, but since you dont like to, you can always prepair food before hand and just freez them so that if you feeling tired you just took it out pop it into the oven or microwave and heat it up.

I usually make something with eggs or sandwiches. Also, quick variant is some sausages boiled or baken with a salad. I have in my fridge some meatballs and stakes frozen, so if I'm too tired for anything, just put them in the microwave and make a salad or eat them with some ready sauce.
