Just a comment on the MyLot new version

I am most of the time using MyLot on mobile web so I would love it if they can also make a phone version of MyLot. It's my first time seeing MyLot's new version on phone and I noticed it's harder to navigate on phone with the new version. What are your views on this. What if MyLot also create a phone application or just a phone version of the site? I think it will be more fun.ü i hope Mylot admins will read this.Ü

So that's how others can post that "U text smiley". I was looking how to do that on the keyboard since that is my text signature smiley, I thought of making that my myLot signature as well. But since I didnt find out soon enough I just used my current smiley signature.^_^ A myLot phone version would be a different concept. I mean I only know one myLot. A phone version is like a myLot spinoff and I usually dont watch those tv series spinoffs. Then again, it might be a great help in improving the interaction with those members who prefer to access myLot with their phones. I might try that sometime but I know that Ill go back to myLot online in my computer rather than through phone. You can always drop them a message containing your suggestion. Better yet add that to your response in GoAskAlice's discussions. Goodluck!

hi, you can do the "U text smiley" with your keyboard. I'm most of the time using it. it's Ü, right? try Alt+0220. press and hold your Alt key and type 0220 using your numeric keypad. Ü

GoAskAlice doesn't approve my friend request yet so I can't send her a message :( I was using the phone version when I typed the U text smiley sad to say I don't know the keyboard shortcuts of it. :) Barnkinney clearly explains how.. :) Thanks for that Ü

Thanks for that barnkinney.^_^ I was able to do that back in high school but whenever I tried I cant seem to remember the codes. I know it was Alt then a code but I thought I remembered the code having a 1, a 6, and a 4.LOL Anyway, thanks for sharing the exact codes. Ill try to remember that. ...still cant do it on this laptop though. I dont think GoAskAlice approves friend requests from myLot members. She only approves friend requests from other myLot admins. That is a way to keep her friends list clean and short. Imagine all those thousands of members asking to be her friend, if word gets out that she now approves them. You can always send your suggestions through the "Contact myLot" page. The link is below every page of myLot.^_^

for a year now i guess, i used my mobile phone to go online and post on mylot and other sites that i have maintained, blog sites of mine, for example. i have no problems encountered during that time. i use my phone wherever and whenever i wish to, as long as there is a wifi signal or even 3g connection. and at that time, i was also inquiring if there is an available mylot mobile version. here is the link to my 13 month old discussion. www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1910138.aspx what is your mobile brand and model, if i may ask? mine is nokia e61. i have installed opera mini 4.2 and it gives me a full view of the pages/sites, like i as viewing from a computer, desktop. the built-in nokia browser cannot display mylot so you really have to install opera mini. i have tried other mobile browsers but it doesn't work well with mylot and other sites. i know you are looking for something that will open mylot within your phone, just like facebook and friendster, to name a couple, which has their own mobile version. but sad to say, mylot doesn't have a mobile version. by now, i do not depend in my phone. i already got a netbook and i broadband connection. actually, there is one more discussion i created which is an update to my first topic about mylot mobile version. www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1937207.aspx

Hi neil :) My phone is Nokia E65 and my brother installed the old version of Opera Mini on it. :) Mylot is easier to view on the old version compared to the new ones because just like what you said, you are like viewing the site on a desktop version. :) But when I tried surfing mylot with its new features, the loading was soo hard that it took me almost 15-30 minutes to go on to another link. :( Maybe because of so many pictures and the new interface.. :( So i really hope they make a Mylot mobile version because I'm more comfortable mylotting through phone because it makes me focus on just one discussion. :) -Hi ybong :) I am browsing the net on phone for free :) my brother taught me how because he's expert in technical stuffs like those. as far as i know you should download the hacked version. :) you can search it in symbianize dot com. :)

those were the days that i can get connected free but later, if no load, no connection. so i thought, i just stop using my phone to post but stick on computer or laptop. i still have no idea how to get a connection with my phone for free and i wish i would not try it.

Well, with the new improvements applied just recently, I think a mobile version of myLot would be a good idea as well. Not all myLot users access the site using their desktops or laptops. I tried using my PSP a few times to access this site and I guess my issue would be my kind of connection than the layout that I have to navigate through when I do my myLot activities.. Never the less, a mobile version isn't a bad idea at all Ei~! got to see new emoticons

I hope they get to consider that mobile version. I think it would be much efficient since your would most probably be doing all the essential things that you could do here in this site. Your welcome

I am having a difficulty using Mylot on my phone. SInce I never do it again. Haven't seen the new version on the phone now, I don't have plan since browsing the net on the phone takes a longer time. I might be checking the Mylot version using computer instead of a phone. Surely the admins will got to read your discussion and hopefully they consider doing such version. Happy Mylotting.

lol =D It's not gonna be easy for mylot to do any changes again!! Just the use or addition of more emoticons, already took mylot more than 3 years to do so.. lol =D I do like this version of mylot now, and it's already alot better as compared to the past.. I'm not someone whom uses phone to surf mylot, and thus i wont know what's the big difference between the two.. hehe

Yeah that would be great and one could access my lot on the go and not just at home when one is on travel especially those mobile with built in wifi. they are great companion and one could do a lot of multi-tasking. definitely a mylot to be accessible could be more enjoyable to participate i unlimited discussion anytime and anywhere.

Yup a mobile version of mylot would really be helpful and easier to use on the go. I can access my lot on my phone but it is a little hard right now to navigate properly in the opera mini i have installed. It would be better if mylot created a phone application in which we can easily post our views.

Maybe you're using the new version. Try the opera mini old version because it's much easier to mylot on the old version ;)

Others would like it, but i really don,t think i will have the time for it. I am always in trouble for using my phone at work. This will only make that one burst a vessel. And that we do not want. TATA.

Thanks for responding saphrina :) well I guess each of us has our own preferences ;) I love the mobile version because it helps me concentrate on one discussions at a time unlike in laptop wherein most of my discussion and those I wanted to respond to are cluttered :) Thanks again and God bless you :)

I also have a comment for the new version of myLot. Can we also earn money through playing their games? hehe its just a questions cuz I was curious about it. Also I think that It would be best also for mylot to create the mobile version so everyone can keep on logging in to their account if they aren't around in their computers, I also use mylot sometimes on mobile but it cost some money sometimes hehe ^ ^

May I ask what's your phone version? I can browse on my phone for free. :) Anyway as far as I know you can't earn money through playing their games. If you'll notice mylot did not do the games. :) Thanks for responding natjohn and God bless you ;)

I don't really like browsing the internet on my phone in general, because I find the pages all get squished down really small to fit the postage-stamp sized screen, and that navigation is really fiddly. I like nothing more than MyLotting on my trusty laptop, where I can type with a proper keyboard and do other stuff whilst browsing the site

Hi MrKennedy, On the contrary, what I love about surfing mylot on mobile phone is that it helps me to concentrate on one discussion at a time :) In my lappie I can't concentrate on just one topic because it gives me more access to all the discussions I want to respond to. :) I observed I'm becoming a more productive mylotter through phone :) Haha well, we have different preferences :) Thanks for responding MrKennedy, and God bless you always

I have never done that before. The size of the phone must make it hard for one to navigate.
