We all try to avoid scarring our skin especially he ladies but sometimes that is inevitable.I am not heavily scarred but I have had my shares of scrapes and scratches which I had from my adventurous childhood and which I would never trade for the world.I dont mind having these scars because they hare my memories and from time to time I recall how I achieved all of them . My favourite scar (or should I say memorable if I can call it that ) is a oval shaped scar I have on my chest from my days of playing with tyres. Here on the island boys have the tradition of using sticks to run discarded tyres while we try to keep up with the tyre and guide it safely to our destination .I was quite an expert" wheel runner" but on this particular day I fell and the stick got stuck in my chest (it was not as bvad as it sounds really ) and now I have a nice scar to show. Is something wrong with me or do you have treasured scars too?If it is not too painfull we would like to hear about how many you have and how you got them.

Ouch, that sounded painful, good thing it wasn't more serious, and you have a nice scar to remember it..lol. Well I've got scars all over the place, but the one I think of all the time and see all the time is the one right in the middle of my chest, I've had two open heart surgeries, so they're not easy to forget or ignore. I used to try to keep it covered, I'd never wear a v-neck shirt or anything, but nowdays, it don't bother me, I just say if anyone wants to know what happened they can ask me and I'll tell them, I call them my battle scars. I also have several others here and there, and they're all involved with the heart thing.

I have a small scar on my right knee. It doesn’t look like much of an injury but the reason I remember it’s there is because the scar is from the time a glass shelf fell on my knee and I needed stiches for the first time in my life. Here I was in my forties and I had never had stiches except in surgery! I’m not exactly proud of it but it is somewhat memorable! My surgical scars are from exploratory surgery I had to have because I was unable to conceive. They are tiny laparoscopic scars but they remind me how lucky I am to have my daughter now; a real miracle!

Scars. Lets see...I have two on my tummy, one from a surgery to remove a 20 pound cyst, the other from a c-section to deleiver my little boy. I have scars on my chin from where I fell through a porch floor when I was a little girl, and I have a scar between my ring and middle fingers of my left hand where I impaled myself on a cup hook at work.. I have other scars too, but most of them are small and insignificant.

I have only one scar on my body that is especially memorable. When I was eight years old and in the third grade their was a scuffle in line getting ready to go to the library. I wasn't yet in line but rather still at my backpack getting out my library book to return it. Well, the scuffle caused the filing cabinet to be knocked over which crushed my ankle. The next day I had to have surgery on my ankle to have a chip of bone replaced. We are now 21 years later and that scar still reminds me of that accident every day.

Hi ronnyb, my most memorable and noticeable scar is on my leg. I caught on fire as a kid and my leg is pretty scarred up. I have to say that it is probably a guy thing to treasure their scars like some sort of keepsake. I spent most of my life avoiding wearing clothing that would show the scar. As I got older, I stopped caring so much but when I was younger I was very self concious.

I have to say the scar I have gotten from falling off the swing when I was less than 7 years old. I hardly remember my age back then but I remember what happened to why I got this scar on my upper left eye. While I was swinging away, I fell backwards and when i sat up the swing was on its way back and it hitted my eye.

I have a really thin, faded scar on my cheek. It's not very noticeable, but if you were to look up close and have me point it out, you would notice it. It happened when I was very small. My mom went to wipe my face with a cloth because it had a smear of chocolate on it. For some reason, there was a small, sharp stone in it that had slipped off into the house from my dad's shoe and that my mom had picked up whilst cleaning. Needless to say, it cut my skin and left a scar But I have long forgiven her

I have only one scar on my body. A little tiny scratch on the back of my wrist I got from a screw. Whenever a discussion like this one starts up in real life I try to show it off but often enough the people I'm showing it to simply can't see it.

Mine is on my thumb, right over the thumb print. When my son was a baby,I had one of those stick blenders to make baby food. I was blending an apple the very first time I used it and a big bit got stuck in the blade so I thought, its stuck,I will move it. Stupid! I pulled the apple off and the blade whipped around and cut a bit of thumb off too. It looked very messy and my son decided there was a lot of tress in that room so he started crying rather loudly ,just to add to it. The doctors reception was quite interesting with me and my blood dripping thumb and a pushchair with a yelling purple faced baby. I cant ever be a burglar now unless I wear gloves as the scar would give me away when they took finger prints.

I have a little bump on my left shin caused by a kick of a horse when i was early teens. Also from that same time period a small scar on my right outter elbow. Caused by falling glass. I was trying to nail curtian hooks to hang a curtian in my bedroom. Missed the nail and hit the window. Glass broke, falling glass cut me. Left hand between first finger and thumb has a scar from early 20's i didnt have a can opener and was opening a can of juice with a knife. Knife slipped and i stabbed my own Hand. Near that another scar i got in my 40's. From a male dog i had. He was being overly aggresive because our female was in heat. He didnt like anyone to get near her. He actually bit my daughter's leg first. He bit me when i was removeing him from the house. I remember i was on my way to a reggae show when my daughter called and told me my dog was out of control. I have 3 little scars around my right knee cap from surgery i had.

My most notable scar is on my face. It required 14 stitches and it's a fairly big scar but my hair's a little bit long so you can't really see it. Other then that I don't have any real noticable scars.

I have my scar at right leg which I got when I drop on the cemented floor and it develop a scratches which turn out to be a scar and it is suppose to be heal but when it look like a brown skin, i remove it so instead of healing it retard and develop a scar like a small coin. Then, as a kids i also like to play like running, climbing on trees and even making my own tree house. Just like you I am not so conscious of my legs having small scar but when I become adults it is then i realize that having a scar is quite embarrassing, so I avoid having a scar as much as possible.

I have a scar barely visible now, but it is prominate to me. About thirty years ago my dog 'blacky' got loose and ran up to the neighbors house. Their dog and mine started fighting. I stuck my hand in my dogs mouth to get her to stop fighting. Afew seconds later it did work, but it only takes a few seconds to get bit. I only have a small scar on my finger from that experience. Everyone who witnessed me do this thought I was crazy for sticking my hand in the mouths of fighting dogs, but I knew what was going to happen. Breaking up a dog fight and saving the neighbors dog was the only thing on my mind, and besides I knwe the consequences of donig this. Everything turned out fine. Idon't remember if I had stiches or not maybe four at the most.
