When one of my friend invited me to use facebook, I was very hesitant at first to create an account because I really thought that this would be another friendster scenario. But when I started using it and learned about the games, I was truly amazed and started playing right away. I joined Farmtown, Farmville, Sorority Life, City Life and much much more. In addition, I loved reading the hi's and hello's from people all over the globe plus you will have the chance to communicate with your long lost friends, old schoolmates and classmates, relatives from the different part of the world, colleagues and even your instructors. Wheew....I really had a great time with Facebook. So for me Facebook rocks! How about you guys? What are your views and opinions about FB?

I love facebook because it is a great way to catch up with your old and curent friends and just talk and even meet new people. i have heard a rumor that we might have to start paying for facebook if this is true i am leaving facebook for good. i wish facebook had more stuff that you could do to your profile like make music play and post youtube videos like myspace but i like facebook better than myspace.

what! you can't put videos and music on your profile, on facebook? thats nonsense! on my myspace page I have 20+ youtube videos on there! AND a music player! its the main stuff I use to get people interested in my profile page. why people love facebook so much is beyond me. without being able to show off your favorite songs and videos why even bother?

I actually love Facebook a lot. I go there almost every day. I usually update my status, but I also take part in the quizzes which are fun and chat with my friends. Facebook has given me back a lot of people that I've lost over the years. Yay technological revolution!

Shello, technically facebook is a great application for social networking. It's well integrated and professionally done. But the way it is been used is not. This in fact may not be the fault of facebook but the users itself as many people are discussing all private matters which they should be doing one on one is made in public which is not really nice. Even though it is really possible at the moment is not that clear for the users who are not IT savvy. Therefore, it is better to have buttons saying "private" discussions and "public" discussions with warning that others could see it.

You are absolutely right. I have heard of cases such as insurances were not granted to some due to some pictures posted on FB and some libel cases filed against FB users for giving incorrect information.

It was better before but they keep on changing their features. Its not fun anymore because they have to do that all the time. It hasn't been a year since they changed some features and they are changing it again now? As I said in my other comments before, facebook is like a girl who cant make up her mind.

I definitely agree that Facebook rocks. It was one of the best websites ever created and is fun, informative and has lots of purposes. Some of my past friends have found me and I have found family and friends on there so it is great being back in touch with people that I grew up with and loved ones. The games are awesome on there. You can sell things on there, plan events and send invitations to people and other things. I am very addicted to Facebook. I use it on my computer as well as my cell phone. Facebook blows Twitter away in my opinion as far as social networking sites.

Hi Shello, I signed up with Facebook more than a month ago, after numerous invitations from friends who kept on telling me that I was the only person left on earth who doesn't have an FB account (of course I know this is not true). At first I thought it's a waste of time. Then I started to appreciate it's benefits, like finding long lost friends and getting in touch with relatives from all over the world. I haven't tried any of the games yet, coz I don't wanna get hooked on them like some friends I know. So I guess I just have to echo what you said, Facebook rocks! BTW, welcome to myLot!

Hi Dear, At first, I thought the same way too. But when I started the gaming sessions and finding some long lost friends then I was hooked. Now I'm trying my best not to spend so much time on it. Lol!

HI, i do think that facebook is a useful site for you to find your old friends or even announce some gathering place to gather your friends. But do be careful of what content u post in the facebook. Some employer of the company may search for info of their interviewee from facebook. And i think should put too much info of urself in the facebook, as some people with no good intention may make use of the info u posted and do some malicious act. So in summary facebook can be a double edge sword. Above are just my 2cent worth. Cheers

I think facebook is a great socialising website itself but I don't see it as a gaming website. So I don't really play games there. I especially like to link all the friends I know in real life to facebook so that I can contact them no matter which part of the world they are in.

I only visit my facebook account just because of the games! so many games to choose from and leaves friendster behind the dust. but friendster is now catching up because they have games for us to play with it too. unfortunately, facebook games are more exciting than the games in friendster.

I have just got on to Facebook late last year, and I'm slowly beginning the explore the ways in which I can use it. At the present though, I'm just using it to stay in contact with friends and family.

i think, that's the greatest attraction of facebook, the games. but i think, that network serves other purposes. there's online messaging, also shopping and posting of videos, etc. now, it is being used for political campaigns...
