There are lots of human activists in this world who argue that death penality should be taken out from the rules of constitution of all the countries. I don't agree with this. I believe that there should be death penality which makes a person to think before committing a brutal crime. What do you say? Do you agree that death penality should be stopped?

I believe it should be stopped, but ONLY if another punishment or a change to the law is put in place. People should not be able to commit a crime such as murder and be given a 20 year sentence, only to be realsed after 5. I do believe that keeping a criminal locked up for life is far worse than execution, as the criminal would, as somebody else pointed out, be given a quick escape from the real punishment. Another alternative is, they could perform some sort of torture techniques or punishments. In other countries in the world where people are whipped several times for commiting crimes, or executed in a more painful or violent way, people really do think twice before breaking the law. In the more developed world, people don't think about it half as much as they should, as there is not always a very harsh penalty. Call me sadistic, but I do believe that prisons should only exist for the true mentally deranged criminals, and other criminals should be dealt with corporal punishment. :)

Absolutely NOT. If someone takes a life then they should pay with the loss of their own life.

No, i do not. In fact i think it should be used more. I think if it was used more some of these heathrens committing these heinous crimes might make some of these awful crimes might stop. They need to make an example out of some of these people that do awful things especially to children.

I agree with you. If some one violates another's right to life, then they have forfeited their own right to life.

I dont think so.If that is the case ....there should be no more cases by now atleast few.We cannot change once mind thinking something is going to happen as a result of what they do now.most of the times,...well in my opinion people make crime out of anger or something else which makes them stop thinking and there is no way one is going to thinking about penality in that situation.but i cannot disagree fully too.but mostly we dont have the right to make someone die only god has that authority.

At all levels this question is being analyzed. Still there is no decision taken on the capital punishment. In plants if we want to grow paddy or wheat, or any plants that is eatable by human being , we take utmost care to remove the unwanted plants which is hindrance to the growth of the eatable plants. But plants do not have sixth sense and so the unwanted plants are removed by us. But , we human being do some act at that particular time without having thought about the consequences. We beat our own children when we are at an angry mood, but later we realize our fault and we give our love and affection by embracing the children. This is to make the children to understand that we are for him because his some of the activities made us to get annoyed. Similarly a chance may be given for the victims to lead the rest of the life freely, if he realizes his brutal crimes.

i agree with you in a way because it might lessen crime rate but in a religious view,we might ask ourselves "who are we to judge a person and take away his life?". Its only God who can make this thing and better yet,its a good thing we have a better alternative to this which is the life imprisonment.
