Poem on Inspiration

Poetry is like ripening flowers in the spring, Full of every living thing, The water flows to the branches and leaves, Especially when creative writing puts me at ease, Oxygen and sunlight are all I need, To embellish my writer's steed, So it can run in the pasture, Full of joy and laughter, Enjoying the day with my kin, Fills me with spirit from within, The clouds lazily stretch above, As I imagine one to be a dove, I pick a lavender bouquet, And it fills my heart with play, Admiring nature all around me, A delicate dance of the nectar and the bee, Sweet honey coarsing through my veins, Inspiring me to write again!
