Do you set goals for yourself?

I set goals for myself daily. I want to get something positive done everyday. So I set in my head what I want to get done. That way I can play after I am done. And I can be proud that I got what I got done. Today I set a goal to have the laundry done and put up, also to vaccuum the floor. Well I got the laundry done and part of the floor vaccuumed. Now I am taking a break. So my question to you is do you set goals? Don't it make you feel good when you have gotten something positive done?

I'm exactly like that too I need to be able to accomplish things on a daily basis or I feel crappy. So I plan ahead of time setting goals in either cleaning, writing, grooming my dog, paying bills. I even set goals for my mylot discussions. I try to get at least 20 done in a day if not more. I hate wasting a day not doing something worth while. I live like it could be my last day on earth and I don't want to waste a minute of a day.

Hi Lelin. We live our lives daily like it is the last day here on this earth. That way we know if it was the last day and someone had to come into our home they could say we lived in a clean home. I set goals for everything I do daily. I haven't set any goals for the last couple of days though. Since I got a new computer and have to work the bugs out of it. Well I guess you can still call that a goal for my own personal use that is. I did however still make the bed and do laundry. I try to do something worth while daily. And by fixing this computer I have done something positive. See I want to start my own business of fixing peoples computers. I want to do this out of our home. I am a computer geek and love fixing them.

I do set goals for myself every day. I pick out three things from my daily to do list to accomplish and I make it a rule that I do those three things before I do anything else. That way, I know that in a one year time span, I've moved forward on over 1,000 things that I wanted to accomplish. Then I set two to three more goals that involve doing something that I'm passionate about like reading, gardening or writing. Good luck.

Hi LaurenInLA. I do love to spend time in the garden but snow right. Soon I will not have this much time for my lot cause I will be outside doing work. I can hardly wait. I don't set a limit on what I will get done. I try to do as much as possible in one day. I like seeing things get done the way I like them. Good luck to you too. Do you live in LA? was wondering cause of your name on here. I came from there.

I used to live in West L.A. but I just moved to Laguna Beach six weeks ago. Can't beat the beach.

i generally do in relation to both work and the stuff i want to do around the house. for me, at home, the goals i have are usually house (laundry, etc) or art related. (ie my current art project).

Hi Cher. It is nice to feel like you have done something positive daily. That is why I set goals. I like having a clean home and knowing if someone showed up I wouldn't be embarrassed to ask them in. I like having the time I have to spend doing what I want to do too.

I'm always setting goals too, it's usually the only way I can get things done. Usually my goals consist of getting my school work done and when I set that goal I become more determined to do it so that way I can do whatever I want afterwards.

Hi Iram. It is always good to get the school work done first. When your as old as me you will be thankful for the schooling you got when you were younger.

Hi Freeman, I set goals for myself every day. Actually I make a list the night before so I know what needs to be done the next day. Makes me feel great when I can cross out everything on my list.....then its about time for me to go to sleep haha. No time to play for me lately Im afraid but Im working on it. I think I need to write "me time" on my lists now. That way Id have to take that time for myself.

Hi Magic. That is why I set goals so I can have the time to do the important things and still have me time. I have done this all my life. If I get at least something done positive daily I feel better about myself and my home. And it makes my husband happy to see he doesn't have a lazy wife, like his brother.
