If you are stopped by a policeman, and he or she gets ready to write you a traffic ticket, for whatever reason, are you accepting or do you try to talk your way out of the ticket? Has this happened to you and were you successful in getting them not to write the ticket? Share your experience.

I have been stopped one time by a police officer, and believe it or not I got out of my ticket. He didn't write me no ticket because I am charming and know what to say! But if it would've been a female police officer I probably would have gotten the ticket.

...Hi mshll84, Welcome to the ranch, enjoy yourself. You must be a very good driver, which is great. I had one police officer stop me for going too fast, just after I got off of a bridge, I was in tears, I was so angry. He said that if he had been by himself, he would probably have not given me the ticket, but he had another policeman in the car with him. It was my fault for going too fast, but I was still ticked, and got ticketed. You are right, the female would have not been charmed. Take care and thanks. "o).

Hello Artistry, I try to talk my way out of it....or cry my way out of it haha. It works. I was stopped a while back for speeding and manage to give him a good story. I didnt get the ticket My husband on the other hand is the lucky one. Its actually the cops who make up excuses for him. Last time, he sort of went through a stop sign and the cop was right there around the corner, so he saw him. So the cop told him that the tires must have slipped on some fallen leaves on the street. GAWD!! I would have never thought of that one haha. Of course, we live in a small town and we sort of know all the cops.

...Hi MagicBubbles, You were good, I hate getting tickets. Once I was going through the Kentucky Fried Chicken drive through, and they had a double car trap for people using the lot of the drive through as a cut through. He was writing so fast, I told him I was buying chicken, he wanted to know where it was, I said right here, he looked at it and said he was sorry, but the ticket could not be torn up. I was xxxxxxxx, if you know what I mean, I had to go to stupid court, wait until late in the evening before being called to have it dismissed. Sick of that. They like your husband. Take care. Thanks for responding.
