hmmmmm I am very disappointed with the system of my beloved country. I love my country inspite of all the shame, bad reputation, etc etc.. We have a great country we are reach in natural resources,we have skillful filipino citizens, brillaint, and courageous. But we have a worst system. We have a corrupt government sorry :( I am not saying this to all politician but mostly..Look at this 2010 issue, Candidates are so busy campaigning and then they have so much work left undone and getting the money of the people for their campaign. If only we have a good system of governance and honest people who serve the goverment. Our Country will not reach to this piont that we have so many fellow filipinos who are not eating right now.. Good for those middle class people who are not quite affected, how about the people in the squatters in the provinces. They havent receive any support from the Government because not they are busy campaigning.. Just would like to share my sentiments.. I just hope and pray for the best of our country.... and for this year 2010 election we will be able to have a good leader, honest leader, brave leader , repsonsible leader,a leader with consciense and a leader with the fear of God. There is still hope.. :)

i will not vote. i didnt vote since the day FVR was the president. i no longer believe in the system. that is only my opinion. I would like gordon and bayani to win but i know there are powerful condidates and knowing the arroyo cheated to get the precidency more made me feel that the system is no longer a good one. everyone of us is hoping for a good leader and we need to pray hard so that the best candidate wins.

hello there pal.... i've been watching all these debates as long as i am at home. but me not voting will not change my mind. i am sure the powerful candidate will win. it is just my opinion and that is how i look at it. if in this coming election a worthy candidate will be winning and he can actually change the rotten government syetem that we have then you can see me voting for the next election.

hi friends, yes a powerful candidate will win this election, another problem could be the online system. I think our system now is unreliable. Honestly Philippines still is not ready for that.. They must have educate everybody ahead of time.. But I was thinking one way is thru Television Broadcast Tutorial.. For this coming election many votes will gone to waste if they just let this issue pass by and those sick of power will take the lead. hmmmm...pitiable Country..:(( :(( :(( :((

But the system of polls are now automated. don't you at least wanna give it a try. only once in a year. besides, if you have been checking my discussions, i have been digging for their informations and platforms, not to mention their debates over the past two months. . being pessimistic about elections isn't gonna help. it's not bad if you try to get to know the candidates first.

It is time for a woman to run for president in the Democratic Party. I would love to see it happen!!!!!! She could go to work and clean house big time. Only problem is the stigma will kill any good she could do. Honest people? What is that? I haven't met one of those in atleast a decade! Not face to face! The best for this country is alot of change and for the government to go through with a fine toothed comb and clean house! Not get rid of the needed programs we need and deserve in this country but get of the self-voted raised the legistlature gets every year and all the freebies THEY get. Get rid of 70% of that and it would probably pay the war, security and several other things. Quit paying immigrants to live here. Etc., etc., etc.

He can give hope to filipinos for a great change and will lift up each and everyones status and thus can fell comfort. regards :)

I thought you are an Indian, when I started reading your post but later learned that you are a filipino. What to do?Here too, it is the same situation.Money rules all the poilticians and they don't have any moral values.Their motto is to win at any cost and earn all the possible amount soon in their period.Only a public revolution will solve this.We are all in terrible need for a good leader to show up despite our nations.

hi srganesh, I dont know what post did i responded that you can say I am an Indian..Anyway I love to agree that they dont have moral Values..LOL But I dont want to generalize because others really wanted to serve as much as they could for the better of all but..Those people who have good intentions are more likely given an issue. I just hope Villar and Erap will not won sorry guys..my three choice would be Gordon, GIbo and Noy BUT NOT VILLAR...I really hate him for the C5extension Issue and the money he get from the goverment to use it for his campaign..

Dorothy09: Everybody share the same sentiment here. Our government is too corrupt to the point that it has affected everyone and our image overseas. I hope that this year will be different but then there is the Maguindanao massacre, the mudslingings against each politician and the campaign period where everybody wants to be heard that they are more suitable candidate for the biggest post in the land. I pray that once a new president will be elected, whoever he/she is, he might be able to solve (although not everything will be) the problems and bring about the needed change in the land.

ho joseline, that one of the best thing we can do, lift up to the most high to the philippines. So shame to think that we can be the most religious country but we are one of the most corrupt.. Where is our values and virtues? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.. I was also thinking, for the new president it is really chanllenging task because filipino people are putting there hope for a change for this next president.. Cheers :)

my sentiments goes the same and my heart bleeds each time i think how our political system has become. but then, the solution lies on the voters...if only the people are just wise enough to choose the best for our country...i wish they will vote not because of how much money each politician has given...if only they follow their conscience. but then again...with whats going on in our political system, even i couldn't tell who's telling the truth...if who got the real intention to serve... only God knows who and hope God will make an intervention so this country will achieve the best kind of government that it deserve.

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but I think our elections this year will still have lots of anomalies, like vote buying here and there. I don't think we could ever have politicians that are concerned with the issues in our society, especially poverty. They would be more concerned in creating anomalies to become richer everyday. Let's just continue to ask for Divine Providence, especially for this year's automated polls.

Basically our government right now is running under popular votes and not really because they deserved to be seated there. I think for change to be really genuine we as voters must assert our right and protect it by all means so that the true winner will emerge in the elections. if we truly love this country we as citizens of this country should assert who is the rightful winner and we should not be swayed anymore by any candidates because they have the money and influence but we vote because our conscience tells us so.

same here my friend...but i think whether we like it or not this country would never be changed anymore...politicians are criticizing whoever on the administration but when it would be their turn already to handle the reign of our government they are still singing same title of the song only in different version..hope you got what i mean...thanks friend nice topic... hmmm all we have to do is pray and have faith that one day, corruption will become a history. i envy other countries for real. even in our place, there are many pig peoples and the alligators haha~. i wish they'd realize and grow their minds up that corruption is really wrong :( , yeah there is still hope, we have good candidates this time..
