i just read today that starbucks corp. had bought seattle's best coffee. why? i mean you wouldn't hear nestle's nescafe owning maxwell coffee also. is there a difference in starbucks' and seattle's best coffee? i do know they came from the same place but still it sounds funny. why not just phase out seattle's best coffee if starbucks has it already? at least there would be one name less in the coffee world and one less competitor of starbucks.

It's all about the money. There are people who prefer starbucks, there are people who prefer seattle's. Now all the money from both of these customers goes in the same pocket.
