are we really alone

hey all, when you are reading this discussion if it is night time where you are have a look up into the sky and look at all the stars and galaxies that you can see. Now here's the question people are sceptical about the existance of other life forms (not little green men) my question is do you think we are alone in this world or not ??

We'll not know for sure if there is life elsewhere until when and if we ever get out there to have a look. But statistally speaking, it's certain that there are a lot of life bearing planets out there, and that's just life that can exist in similar conditions to ourselves. That life can also exist in other environments other than our water/oxygen one is clearly demonstrated right here on earth where there are several different forms of life that live quite happily in environments that would be leathal to ourselves. Life for example that exists in an oxyegen free environment is quite common (anerobic) and so is sulpher based life that can live in tempratures of hundreds of degrees and under huge pressures in the hydrothermal vents in the deep ocean. So when and if we finally do get out there to explore, I think that we'll be finding life everywhere. But to quote Star Trek, "It's life Jim, but not life as we know it."

he he he as handsome as me quick whats ya msn lol, he he he am sure there are other planets just look at all the stars maybe not the same as earth but there will be life forms out there that can live on their own climates the number of other planets just makes the odd's of us being alone really small,

This is the thing that i have been thinking a lot, with all those stars in the sky and there is alot of stars which are like our sun. The possibility of existance of another solar system is endless thus the possibility of another earth. And i do not think we are alone, there will definitely be someone out there

I don't think there will be another planet like earth but who knows, but yeah I think we are not alone, we haven't discovered all the animals that live on earth yet, new species are always being found in the deepest depths of the ocean so if we haven't discovered the species that live on earth then how many species on other planets have we yet to discover maybe not in my lifetime but that's a fascinating thought

Ya I think so that we are actually alone in all our life. We generally come alone and we have to go alone but we are playing a drama of not living alone. But if you look in the broader sense you can understand that we are really alone in this world......

not only looking to the sky..but many times it happens to me...even when i am in crowd...sometimes i feel alone...many times some incidents happen in life...which make you feel this way.....and many times it happens exactly opposite......we feel everything and everyone as our companion.....all depends
