Been wondering, has facebook taken over our life? More and more of us have a facebook account. We are updating our status there, uploading our photos and videos... Playing games there... We even reunited with long lost friends and relatives on facebook! We can even do shopping and discuss matters over at facebook. So do you agree with the question that I have raise? Comments please...

I do think so, to a certain extend.. haha =D It's just like an online hangout place, between friends and colleagues, whenever they are not seeing each other in real.. haha =D But there are also many, whom are addicted to FB because of the games in there, but not because of their friends etc.. lol =D I myself do have a FB account, but i'm definitely not active in it, as i see it as a place to promote my own stuff.. lol =D

you are right.. a popular hangout place that could be rather addictive when it comes to games! Promote your own stuff? what do you promote?

No me! I guess I'm one of the few without a facebook account. Even though everyone around me already has an account, including my 9-year old son. But he of course does not connect to a lot of people. He's just there for farmville. Anyway, instead of FB, I have a Linkedin account. It's just like facebook, but more professional. It's for job-networking. And even that I rarely visit.

wow.. you are the minority! Do start having curfews for your boy playing the game on facebook. It can be addictive and may affects school work. You are warned. Lol.. I have a linkedin account too.. I seldom go there... Yup, it is more professional, and seems easier to get referrals and testimonials for work, more creditable in a way.

Not at all. I do have an account with Facebook but I really don't like it at all. I only go on when someone sends me a message, or calls me to say they uploaded new pictures. Otherwise I couldn't be bothered. I love mylot that is my addiction but I am learning to alot time for other things that need to be done.

ooh.. that is new to me. So have you tried playing any of the games in facebook? where do you share your photos and videos, if not facebook? mylot can be quite addictive at times.. But less in my case, as i am often out of topics to discuss about, which can be quite sad for myself.

Not in mine but I think in my husband's life. lol not literally btu sometimes I think its almost taking over his life. In the morning when he wakes up he turns on the computer and log in to facebook and started playing the games there. He checks that game everyday and every hour of the week. I am losing patience.

haha... So is my brothers... They can stuck themselves to the computers till wee hours of the night! And worst, they are not playing just one game, it is multiple games! haha.. I was nearly dragged into the same addictive habit, till i managed to force myself to be busy at something else instead, work. what game does your husband play? maybe you can get be to be busy with something else instead?

My classmate in high school was the one who invited me to have a facebook account for 2 reasons. First, so that i will be reconnected with my batchmates in high school since most of them have FB accounts. Second, so i will be her neighbor in farmville. LOL At first i was hesitant but then due to her first reason, i joined FB. Now i dont have regrets coz i now keep in touch with my batchmates. I could say somehow it has become a part of my life. LOL

I think the word is it is fast becoming part of our lives. You're correct on your observations, i too was just reunited with some of my classmates in highschool. And i have found photos of me with my classmates taken more than twenty years ago. It surely brought back memories. Facebook is an example of how humans can come up with ways to bring each and everyone of us closer. And like everything else, there's also a negative side to it. It's how we make use of it that'll determine if it has positive or negative impact on our daily lives.

ah.. that is another way of describing this fast phenomenon/trend.. It sure bring back memories, especially when our long lost ex-classmates back in preschool, uploads a class photo from back then... Negative side to it, privacy is somehow invaded.. everyone on our friends list will be able to see how we look like when we are younger. which can be both irritated and funny.. haha..

Oh yes, without a doubt facebook has become a very big part of my life. I often wish I had never set up an account. You are correct though, I have been able to reconnect with so many people through it though. I guess we are both just "Facehooked" now.
