I read everything

I never paid attention but I read everything, I noticed the other day that if there is nothing close by I will read boxes (for cereal), notes and any piece of paper laying around. I thought this was funny but I keep doing it. I seem to be unable to stop to. My favorite cup says Harley Davidson and if I am sitting for a while drinking coffee I will read the cup over and over. Does anyone else do this?

Isn't this a wonderful way to be. You can know all the ingredients in your food (reading while cooking or eating). You will also know when food expires (saves from food poisoning). You may never stop surfing the web. There will be reading materials placed all over your house to accommodate every place you may sit, stand, or lay down. There is no place in your home that can not accommodate your reading habits. The local library and book stores will be frequent haunts. If your eyes are tired, you can then switch to books on tape or CD. There are many ways to accommodate this habit and enjoy yourself for a lifetime of learning. Who me??? Love to read??? You bet and I do find myself doing some of the same things that you do. It's just plain fun.

How I agree with you. i do all the things you listed and I have 4 book shelves full of books, my entire storage room, and my whole office has books, magazines and everything, all of my children read so every now and then I read their books to so I stay on top of what kids read these days.

My dream is to someday have my own library. I got rid of the bedroom furniture (all but the bed) and built cupboards on a wall to hide a whole ton of books. I have (I think) close to ten full size book shelves. I question if this is an addiction and then remind myself that I don't have a book catalog ...... YET!

I do have a catalog, but only because I give so many away and so many are donated to me that I would forget what I read before then I would end up reading the same books over again and I would not be able to stop reading it once I started even if I wanted to.

Yes, I do it too. Even if I'm in the shower, I sometimes find myself reading the back of shampoo bottles. The ingredients, where it was made...

How true, I have a complete understanding of what is in my hair because I read the shampoo, the conditioner, the gel and even my dove soap....

I do read everything too! I read everything with words on it too! But I also count everything. (I just posted that discussion!) Wow, it's almost like an obsession or something!

I absolutely agree and I do that too, I count everything and make lists so that I can remember what I counted, dont tell my husband though he thinks I need help. I have never heard of readers anonymous but Hi my name is Kayte and I am addicted to reading.

I too find that I suffer with this problem No matter what it is about, if there is any reading material in my sight, I find that my eyes will wander over it and read it. Everything from cereal boxes to signs I see when out and about, there is nothing I will not read

Absolutely and if it has words I read it, I purposely have to put books in places to keep myself happy and so I am not constantly reading over peoples shoulders. I even like subtitles in movies.

I also will read just about anything if my eyes are not preoccupied. I guess it's not that odd.

Well i feel that its a good habit that you have of reading as who read a lot, their concentration is very good. But don't do excessively because excess of anything is bad. I don't read too much but whenever i get a good but book or i see a good article then i read it very carefully.
