Hello members, Everyone come across depression and sad feelings.... But some might use different remedy for different situation... What will you do when you are in depression or bad mood? Will you take pills or pray or read scriptures or go out with friends or watch TV or listen to music...etc... Hope everyone must have some bad mood and sad feelings... Why not share that here.. Hi phillip_shiny! First, I don't want to be alone when I'm in a bad mood or depressed. I usually find someone to talk to. If there's none. I just listen to music to calm me down or eat my heart out. Haha! If I'm really really bored, I take my dogs out for a walk. But it seldom happens. I always tried my best to have a good mood. Happy mylotting!

hi phillip_shiny, When I'm depressed I usually watch funny films or go out with friends or family. Do some shopping and stroll around the mall. I sometimes eat my favorite food and desserts. Haha! Which is not a very good idea at all. Uhmmm... but most of the time I want to sleep and take some rest so that my mind will be at peace and I'll be able to redeem myself and be jolly again the next day. It really depends on the emotion that I have, if it was like huge and I'm really depressed to the highest level I'll seek help from a friend or my sister and confide with them.

well when im in a bad mon .. i call up ma friends or a girlfriend if i got one :P and try to have some quality time.... it works a lots ... or try to do sumthin happy ...and try to stick away from depressions sumthin which you like and have passion to do. . . well at times i play guitar to booo away deperession dats rissing inside m :) hapy mylotting

hello phillip, when i am depressed or in bad mood, what i usually want to do is to be alone and don't talk much. i like some quiet & peaceful moment with myself to think. sometimes, a shower gives me better feeling coz the flow of the water on my body is like washing away my worries and depression... and i am usually sighing! haha but there are also times that i like talking to someone to voice my feelings out, i don't need advises but what i just need is someone to listen... when there's no one around to talk with, i will just find my self writing down my feelings, sometimes i do talk to myself and of course i pray to ask for God's help to get over on whatever feeling i am feeling at the moment...

Life it a roller coaster and when we feel happy we can only know this because we know what it is like to feel sad. As a therapist, I recommend that the clients to come to consult with me go with the flow. Meditate and focus on the depression/sadness rather than try to "cure" it. Nothing is permanent but trying to resist it will only prolong it or stop the person coming out of it completely. _Derek

Hi philip_shiny,We can't avoid the feeling of depression or in bad mood because we are only human being,and it is normal to all of us.For me,My outlet of that kind of situations is to be alone and pray.Asking help to our lord God to be strong and to make me survive of what ever problems and pain I have.It really works for me ever since.Have a nice day.

When I am depressed or in a bad mood, I will take a book and go to the coffee shop for a couple of hours. I also do that even when i am not depressed, and when I am in a good mood. Preventative measure, I guess. However, when $h!t happens, and I do get depressed, a cup of coffee at Second Cup fixes anything!

When I feel depressed or sad, like to go for a walk. I also like to pamper myself when I am feeling down or just bored. It lifts me up! Sometimes I write poem, for just the act of putting down on paper my thoughts and feelings often helps to release them. The important thing to remember when you are feeling depressed or sad is to take action! As long as the action is constructive and healthy, you might see an improvement in your outlook. Sometimes just a change in scenery can lift your mood as well. Yet if the depressed mood overwhelms you, there is nothing wrong with cuddling up in bed with your favorite blanket, the pillow, and the remote. Sometimes we just need some down-time, too. When im in a bad mood I try to read some literature whether it is news or novel. There just something funny or captivating in what I read. For example I have read about a man who swallows a sword and broke a record on that. When I read his words of wisdom and see how cool he is it makes me smile. Therefore its helpful to read when sad.

When I'm in a bad mood, I just let all the bad vibes out. Crying makes me feel better. :) I also listen to my favorite songs, watch movies, and do other stuff that will distract me so that I'll forget all those bad feelings :)

I love to play my guitar and sing a nice song. When I'm in a bad mood, I spend hours just singing and playing and sometimes even composing. When I'n tired of singing, I get on my bike and just ride until my legs can't take it anymore. Then i return home, eat a big healthy meal and sleep a long slumber until the new day comes, when I'll be refreshed and ready for anything.

I listen to music pop rock, or relaxing one. Movie marathon fixes everything. Internet surfing and all that. Sometimes I sleep all day and then when I wake up thats when I take care of the depression.

When I am in a bad mood and very depressed, I avoided people as much as possible because I might encounter trouble with them. I just relaxed and walked around and marveled on the beautiful sky and took a deep breath and closed my eyes, after exercising these stuff, my mood will lighten up.

take a cold shower, dry off and sleep. then call a friend and watch the latest romantic-comedy movie, eat outside then off it goes. :-)

Hi Phillip, When I'm in a bad mood I keep to myself until I'm finally over it and ready to talk about it, or forget about it. There are times when I feel so depressed I go window shopping, or buy a thing or two but just go to the mall to have a different environment. Or I hit my laptop's keyboard and surf the net, doing this somehow takes the worries away.

When I was younger I used to take a lot of comfort in food. However, now that I am older I've found some healthier methods to cope with my feelings of depression. I like to exercise or get out in the fresh air when I am feeling down. This helps me because it makes me tired so that I am able to sleep and it also makes it to where I am able to calm down to a greater degree than I would have been able to do otherwise. I think that exercise is a healthy coping mechanism.

I suffer from depression and I take antidepressants which have changed my life. I still feel sad every now and again and what I learnt from my therapist is to ‘sit through’ the emotions that come up and feel them without analysing them or trying to push them away. I do that and as I start to feel a little better which I inevitably always do I will listen to some music. The worst thing one can do is try to escape the feeling; my favourite saying is “The only way out is through…”

When I am depressed, I let to sleep, but surely I am crying while sleeping.I cry it all out so that when i wake up, even if my eyes are bulging, I will be feeling fine. The feeling will be light. I also pray to God, to erase the hurt inside my heart, for me to easy to move on. I also watched comedy films, in that way I can laugh it all out in the wind and i will be feeling better. I don't watch drama films or programs, I stay away from it. I also do pamper myself, or I go out , I stroll to the mall. I let my brain be busy. I want to forget when I am sad. I want to forget the sadness.
