T-mobile is cheaper I guess, but AT&T has the best coverage of any carrier in my area. If you drop you phone a lot like me though, you may have to buy a new phone or get a new 2-year contract every year and a half or so.

Seeing as how I've had first-hand experence with both companies I would have to say T-mobile has the better service, coverage etc. While At&T claims to have all that, their prices are real high, and they end up ripping off your money. I hated every time I needed a new phone, I would have to up my rate plan. Which ment a higher bill every month over all. I would often make phones last as long as possible so I didn't have to deal with that very thing. I also paid for unlimited texting as well, but there was a problem. I kept getting charged with the texts on a so-called unlimited plan. With T-mobile I get what I pay for. I feel like I can talk to them, and I don't have to play 20 questions every time I need to make a change. If I need a new phone, I can upgrade one month after I get a phone. If I want, though the longer I wait the lower the price I have to pay. I just have to agree to re-up my contract for another two years. Which is reasonable. I don't have to change anything. I pay aproxmently 104, plus taxes and fees which are about ten bucks, a month for two lines, unlimited talk anytime day or night. unlimited texting on my line, and I don't think I could ask for anything better then that.

That really depends on where you're gonna use the phone. Not every service providers are gonna be the same in every corner of the world. I know your question is about AT&T & T-Mobile but just to give you an idea, a lot of people & 3rd party surveys are talking about how great of coverage that verizon has. My co-worker has to walk all over the place where we walk just to get a marginal signal where I have t-mobile & I have full 3g signal with my blackberry. Two blocks down the road, inside my friend's house, friend of mine can't get any type of service with his AT&T I-Phone until he drives about 1/4 of mile out of his house when I get full 3g service with my t-mobile blackberry inside his house. But then in all fairness, one restaurant that me & my friends hang out once a month, I can't get any signal when another friend of mine gets full signal with his 3 year old Nextel phone. All this is within 5 mile radius. I travel a lot for my work & I've used 5 different services, AT&T, Nextel & Sprint - before & after their merge, verizon, & T-Mobile. All the places I've been to, I haven't noticed too much of a difference from one service provider to another. I'll stick to my t-mobile. Just for the record, I travel to & from NY, bottom half of NJ, both Virginias, & both Carolinas. With T-Mobile, I had coverage with 95% of those places. It's not like I only go around in few blocks of my house.

I don't have any experience with AT&T, as I have never used it, but I have been with T-mobile, for several years, and I had all kinds of problems keeping a connection, as I would get dropped calls, and I just got so frustrated, so I just decided in 2008, to change my service to Verizon, and I don't get dropped calls with them at all. Now, they are expensive at the outset, and I do have to renew my contract every time I upgrade, but they are a good company, and I think for now, I will just stay with them. Now if I can find one that is better than they are, then I might consider switching, but for now, my kids are on Verizon, and by talking to them, it won't use up our minutes. Take care and happy mylotting.

Hi, AT&T ! I would just like to say I had singular and At&t took over. I Thought It was going to change, but, it didn't. I happen to love my at&t. Anytime I have an issue, their customer service is great! always resolved. There are better phone plans meaning cheaper, But, with at&t I know I am a valued customer and I feel safe and secured with my phone service, at all times. I've had them all, thats how I ended up with cingular but, none better than at&t. Any technical problems? fixed right aawy, lose your phone re-placed in a day 2 tops, first thing in the morning by fed-ex. But, thats my experience with them, Been with them for 5 yrs..
