Robbers Marking on RoofTops

Disgusting! I remember when we went for vacation few years ago, my shop was burgled and most of the valuables like tv, speakers and tapes were gone including my favorite addidas sports shoe. What these thieves left was their sh&t on the floor. The whole place stinks and the human sh&t was already hard when we arrived and it took us a lot of trouble washing the whole place. I don't understand why they leave their poops.

That is quite weird. Thankfully I've never been robbed before. I've lost cellphones and wallet but that's because of my carelessness. What did the robbers take off with? Anyway I've heard of robbers eating in the kitchen while the people in the house were sleeping.

Wow!! I have never heard of something like this, but I am sure anything is possible. In reality when you Stop to think about it, strange things are usually bound to happen if someone is watching your house, or has it marked and targeted for a house to rob if someone really is out to rob you. That is why they say we need to be aware of all surroundings at all times, and not be afraid to report anything suspicious out there as well. Glad to hear everything turned out OK.

Hahahaha! That's absolutely funny! Whoever did that wouldn't really go back, I guess. It's kind of a strange mark for someone who doesn't want to be known (like Robbers or Burglars) right? Just imagine, them sniffing for their poop to know where they'll strike next! Hahahaha! Hmmmmh... Perhaps it was someone crazy or perhaps it was thrown away to mock your home. But I doubt it's robbers.

nykel88 this does sound pretty bizarre and how would their so called marking be seen unless they were in a treetop or flying a low helicopter or some such. and planes and helicopters make an ungodly amou nt of noise., I think your mom is incorrect as that would make no sense pooping on a roof top, how is anyone going to see it? they would have to come up into your house to get to the roof, oh give me a break, this is not for real. they were just being distructive and stupid. No Robbers do not mark houses that way, thats really rather bizarre. I do not understand why your mom would think that using poop to mark a roof top would make an y common sense. like I said you would not be able to see it unless you swung out on a high treetop like amonkey.

Gross, I never heard of such a thing. Once we were burglarized and they used the toilet and they used one of my towels to wipe their backside. Double gross...

That is very odd indeed and I have never heard of a robber marking a rooftop so that they can come back to rob it. Though it be disgusting, I would have cleaned the poop off and hope that the robber forgot my house! How terrible that a person would do such a thing. How did you prepare?

robbers usually take the valuables things in our house, after reading your post they were on the roof. I think what they're there, and it ever happened to me their feet muddy and contaminate the rest of my house and they took the television and the scissors but through the window of the house. More strangely they are not after money which is in the closet.

Yes, they do mark your house. But in my country they mark it with bottles or paper, whatever the new trend in their little world is. But human poop, that is disgusting. I think your robbers have a mental problem. Just keep your eyes open. TATA.

This is really disgusting, no one deserved to have feces on their roof, or anywhere near their house. I am sure your window and doors are very secure, otherwise the "theif" won't consider going on the rooftop. Such "marking" is unheard of for me, as I usually live in big apartment building, so is hard for thief to climb that high outside, however in China there are reports of thiefs climb up to as high as 16 floors! just from the outside water pipes and air condition units. I don't know the exact layout of you house so is hard to say how tall is your roof, or if there are any window on there. Perhaps you can try to have your roof window barred, is just to make sure no unwanted visotrs will ever enter there. You can also buy some cheap security device for your window or doors, they will sound loud alarm when someone tries to open your window/door. There are also films to stick on your window to make them harder to shatter by blunt force, therefore make it harder to break by theifs. Your house should be the place where you can relax, but threatened by unwanted visitors. If there are more reports of simliar "marking" around your neighbours, maybe you should consider increase your household security.

hahaha that is really funny!! am sorry but i couldn't help it.. honestly i dont think a arobber will mark a target house with poop.. why because it increases the chance that people inside wont sleep at all because of the bad smell. and people should be asleep before robbers robs the house you know.. maybe its just a prank from a neighbor who has a twisted sense of humor

I've never heard of this disgusting practice, but marking houses to leave a message is not uncommon. Beggars and travellers sometimes leave a mark at a house where they have been given money or food, so that others know they will get a favourable response. They have a "code" in some areas e.g. a circle with a cross means it could be dangerous to approach this homeowner, or a wavy line in a circle means you'll get nothing here, while a plain circle means the resident is generous. As for leaving poop on a roof - I can't even begin to imagine what this might mean but burglars have been known to leave this particular "calling card" after ransacking a house. Maybe, a burglar was "casing" the area i.e. studying an area to see where he might be able to break in and he was caught short!
