I was so surprised to learn that David Canary is retiring from All My Children. He is seventy-one years old. I was surprised over that too. He will not be killed off in case he wants to make an appearance again. Its said the viewers will be happy with the way he departs the show. I just wonder what will happen to Annie now?

I read that he was leaving also. He has been on that show so long. I did read that he could come back for appearance so good to know he will not be killed off. Wonder about Annie also. I can believe he is 71 he has been on that show forever and before that he was on Bonzana.

I have caught a few episodes of this soap when I have been busy and have just left my television on that same channel but I haven't watched enough episodes to really know who is who. I thought of maybe getting into that soap since it is on that channel and started recording All My Children but never got into it. I am not really sure why I haven't but I am not the soap opera watching type. But I am guessing that David is he white haired older guy and I do know that has been on the show forever so I would think that that would be a big difference without him on the show.

It won't be the same if he leaves. I can't help but wonder if he was intending on leaving, why he made the move to CA. I hope Annie continues on the show. I don't want her with Scott but I think she has been mistreated by almost all the characters on the show starting with her brother, especially by Ryan and many others.

I know the show won't be the same with Adam gone. I hope this won't be the beginning of the end of the show.

I'm sorry to hear he is leaving. Bet he will leave with this woman that is the mother to the child that he is looking for to save JR. Might turn out that he is really married to her, so his and Annie's marriage is null and void! I hope they send him off nicely tho. He was a great "love to hate" charcter. Probably leaving cause of the move to LA from NY.

David Canary is 71 years old and retiring. He will be missed so much and your theory would be great if it happen that way. David says the way he leaves that we will like it.

I also read that he would be leaving the show but would be coming back for a few episodes in the future. I also read that Annie will have to be dealing with JR after Adam is gone so maybe she will finely get what she deserves in the near future. With Adam leaving JR will probably be taking over Chandler Company because he does know more about the company then Scott or Annie together.

Oh that will be great for JR to have control over Annie, finally she will get what she deserves.

I haven't watched All My Children in a long time. I enjoy OLTL & GH much better. They have better story lines. I always enjoyed David Canary and no matter what story line they gave him good or bad he always did a great job. I think it's a blow to AMC with them moving out of New York they are losing cast members. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this was the next soap to get the axe. They spend way to much time on Ryan and AMC cast. The good people hardly ever stay on that show long. Annie is still around I thought she was going crazy. Oh well. David Canary will be missed and there is no way they can ever recast his part. I didn't know he was 71 he looks great for his age. I am sure he will pop in from time to time he has been there for years. I hope his last story line will be great and let him leave on a high note.

When I was a teenager I use to watch AMC, OLTL, GH and The Young and Restless. Now I just watch AMC. Can't get into the others. Yes, I agree that maybe AMC will be the next to get the axe. They should never have moved to LA from New York, after being in NY since the beginning. I don't know whose idea this was but I don't think it was a good one at all.
