iPod Touch vs. iPhone... Advice Please!

When I needed a phone in 2007, I was desparate and took one under a 3 year contract. It's been a very good phone for me, and I love it. My contract is almost up, and I'll be happy to be without a contract. I would like to continue my service, though. I am also interested in getting an iPhone, but I don't want to get a new phone when my old one is still good. Also, I don't want to pay the high fees for using an iPhone. I was wondering what people could tell me about iPod Touches. Is it true, what someone told me, that an iPod Touch can do everything an iPhone can do, except make phone calls? Can I access the internet with an iPod Touch the same way I can with an iPhone? Can I get all the same iPhone apps with an iPod Touch? What is an iPhone capable of doing that an iPod touch can not do, and vice versa? Do I have to pay monthly fees to use my iPod touch as an internet device, the way I'd have to with an iPhone? If it turns out that I can be just as satisfied with an iPod Touch as I can with an iPhone, then I will just get the Touch, and continue to use my cellphone.

I think in this case you should get the ipod touch, for what I know it is true, the ipod touch is an iphone without phone. It can connect to internet and will cost you nothing if you have a wifi connection, and you can use the same apps an iphone can use except those that are madefor calls, for example there was an app that could make background noises to let you have an exuse to cut off the call. You can have lots of music, appa, videos, not sure about the camera, but its cheaper at least here

I love my new iPod touch (the only problem is it does not have Internet - you can access the web if you are near a wifi location) or have a router at home. Right now I am replying using my iPod and I get Internet from my wireeless router that is connected to my CPU it pretty much does slot but calls. I can text with it too I can send text to my friends good luck in your decision making my iPod does not cost tons in monthly fees besides It cost me nothing I won this iPod from a radio station contest iPod touch stores your pix too and has notepads and if you attach a microphone it can record hope this little bit of info helped you make an informed decision

An ipod touch will do everything an iphone will do but make calls, and the I have doesn't have a mic or a camer ain it, but I don't need those either. It has lots of apps on it and I do enjoy playing on it fom time to time. I bourght it because of the apps and I won't have an iphone because I am not with At&T, so my provider will never have it. I have lots of fun playing on it, and looking for new apps from the apps store. I don't always find what I am looking for, but I do have fun looking for them anyway. I can also access the internet and I have posted a response from it already, but it did take awhile. It works pretty well too. It is amazing htat it can do what it can, being as small as it is. Now, I can't go on the internet unless I have wifi, but I am still able to play games on it even without it, as I don't need the wifi for that. I am glad I bought it as it is enjoyable to use. Take care, and have a very good day.

Hi! I would prefer a iphone, but the price is just outrageous. Why would I prefer it? Well, on the iphone you can go on the internet 24/7 and there is no need of looking for wifi since it is 3G (on the other hand, I think you would have to pay for internet). The iphone also has a camera and microphone that I find very useful sometimes. But, you can always buy earphones with a microphone in it for your ipod. And lastly, the ipod touch cannot make calls, but i have heard of people saying that they used applications to make phone calls, but this gets really complicated. On the other hand, the ipod touch still has all the great applications. It is thinner than the iphone and you can listen to music, play games, watch videos, store photos, use as an alarm clock, etc. For the price of about 200 dollars, it is a pretty good deal. Using your ipod touch as well as your old cell phone will probably still satisfy you even though you will have to carry the extra load. But at least you will probably save some cash.
