Hi computer use too much, it affects all body, especially eyes, back, blood circulation, standing still. Back pain, headaches, is especially novice eye, in a few years, all using the computer several hours a day, without taking rest, will suffer. It's sad, but true. My advice? Use your computer as every hour take a break for 10 minutes, lie in bed or do the move, over time your feet will swell. All this happened to me , so all is true, just be careful, try to take some rest sometimes

I got to agree to ice here. Since grade 6 I've been using a computer and not only PC but also consoles. It does really give you a headache and eye sore. Just last year every day its 8 hrs on the computer non-stop! I feel now I am photosensitive to light and my eyes are kinda going blurry. I need to have glasses but still don't have the money to buy yet. So rest your eyes and do not shower after doing something in your computer, believe me it can make you feel dizzy and your eyes may want to bulge!

Well, i think the best way to control your eyes from getting worse, it's better to put a screen guard on your computer. You need to put a small green cactus plant besides your computer as well. The function is, you need to look at the cactus plant when your eyes started to feel tired. It can help to restored back your eyes sight. You will need to practice it for a few months, then you will apparently see the result. It was taught by my lecturer who managed to restored her eyes sight back to lower degree. Besides that, you will need to take a lot of Vitamin A products to maintain your eyes healthy.

You must put a protective filter glass in front your monitor. You must also put a small plants beside your computer...the real plants not the plastic ones. They are effective in absorbing the radiation. Harmful radiation may cause eye illness. You should know that by now.

ya but i dont have the dryness problem you know every one has only one hole in a eye but by birth i have two so most of the time my eyes will be watery and may be because of that also i feel am increased with power because that will also make me strain as we cant get a clear vision with tears in eyes.dont you think so?

of course, the radiation of the computers affects your eyes! if u want to protect your eyes, buy a screeen protector or just go to the doctor (eys doctor = i dont know how do i say with other words) to control your eyes and said if u need glases or not. the 2 previous years i started to have a bad headache and a pain on my eyes, and the doctor told me taht the reason was i was i front of the computer without protection, so i use a pair of glases when i feel tired and my eyes feel bad, or watch tv or whatever could affect my eyes.. have a nice day

Oh yes they do, my fiance is like a computer addict, he uses the computer all the time, even when he was still little and until now, he wears glasses. I do too noticed that its been affecting my eyes, even using those protective glasses you put on your monitor, they still affect your eyes. Because of computer i needed to wear glasses but i dont like glasses so i just dont wear them, but when my head hurts, i just have to wear them, grrr. Anyway, i always use the computer like 14 hrs a day maybe.

Yes they say the blue light emitted is bad for the eyes.We need to rest every hour and stay away from our computer. We know very well that there is radiation activity too while browsing. If we cant help but live in front of the computer all the time, i thing the best we can do is practice "Safety First".

Its definately because of the computer. I am in the IT field as well and there are days where I will spend hours on end staring at the computer screen. It is usually the combination of these marathon sessions and lack of sleep that cause my vision to get worse, which requires me to wear glasses in order to sometimes read the screen. The ones I have are not prescription, but working on computers non-stop definately has an effect on the vision. Its best to take breaks whenever possible to give your eyes a chance to rest.

I'm using my PC all day. I don't have TV, radio . . . I have only PC. My computer is my only source of information. I even do not read magazines and newspapers. Everything I need is online. I'm living with my computer everyday for about 12 hours and more... And it seems everything's OK until now. I don't have any problems with my eyes.

thunderbala, You are being a software engineer, once in 3 months you should go to the eye doctor and take necessary check up. Now a days very advanced medicational treatments are there, so you better visit to your family doctor. "precautions is better than cure"

Staying in front of the computer for quite a long time really affects our eyes. You are not the only one experiencing it coz my eyes are starting to hurt now. What i do is i take a break from the computer and look at green colored objects or plants to help soothe my eyes. I'm also thankful to those who posted that we should put green plants near the computer. I'll be doing that. Happy mylotting!

Yes, I think the computer has a negative effect on my eyesight. I think my eyesight gets worse. I spend long time facing the computer almost everyday. It is not good for my eyesight. I love China

Absolutely... That is watching anything on a screen without any breaks can be harmful to your eyes. This can be more problematic if there is poor lighting.

I think so, my eyes are always strained from staring at the computer monitor too much. It's gotta have a negative effect on our eyes. Still, can't stay away for too long can we?
