Why a lot of Members ask if they are Beautiful / Pretty?

I think they have low self esteem and need to be told they are beautiful/pretty to boost their confidence.

There are a lot of people from India on mylot. Being beautiful seems to be an obsession with them. I had two Indian friends about 10 years ago, and how beautiful someone was came up in their conversations constantly.

I think part of the reason people do that here is because it's the internet. I wonder if many of these people are using someone else's picture or maybe it's an older picture? Either way, I guess they're just trying to feel better about themselves.
