Should everyone have to carry an identity card?

Well, in my country, it's necessary to carry to identity card, whenever we are out from our home. If we are found by the police that we didn't carry any identity card during we are out from home, then we can get summon. In short, i would said, it's compulsory to bring identity card, wherever we go. It's also a good practice, as in case we got into trouble, people who come to help can easily locate and contact our relatives. In my country, even my son was issued an identity card, since from birth.

we are not opt to carry an ID. it's our choice if we want to bring ID or not. but for example it's required to bring ID in office or school, then we should bring to be able to enter. however if it's not then it's okay not to bring one. but if you like, in case of emergency, you can do it too. it's just a matter of choice.

You are supposed to carry you national ID with you in my country. I don't always do it, but I'm in a small town and everyone knows me. If it was an issue, the wort that would happen to me is I would either be told to go home and get it or the police would drive me home to get it. Theoretically they could throw me in jail while they were checking out who I am, but that's unlikely in my case. They know who I am.

What do you mean all? In my country you have to carry your ID card if you're over 16 years old. That's also the age at which you're responsible for your actions like an audult, not like a kid or teenager ?I mean in front the court/ So yes, I think everybody has to carry their ID card after that age.
