Have you ever tried 5 minutes rest in the afternoon. Not more and not less. Research proves that resting our mind for 5 minutes through sleeping would make our mind more focus through the day and make us more fresh. Have you ever tried this? I tried it before in my previous job and seems to be true. but when i moved to new job, never do that again since it is so open here that you just can't sleep or find a place to sleep. Anybody can give solution to me?

Hey friend. I was born with a major neurological problem for which I've to take nap of at least 1 hour in the afternoon to revive my brain power. I can enjoy such nap because I work in my own shop. It's proven 100% effective in my field of work. After waking up from this nap I feel so much refreshed and relaxed which no medication can deliver to me. If your office is too much crowded to have a short nap, there is nothing you can do in this concern but to wait for another job where you'll get such opportunity. Until then, you'll have to be patient. Have a peaceful nap.

I always take a nap, actually I sleep for 40 minutes whenever the clock strike at 12 in the afternoon. I take a break by sleeping. Yes it did refresh my mind. It is like a rested for a while and I have stored energy already to do the work through the rest of the afternoon. I know that is healthy that is why me and my officemate do it. And we also choose to do it because we want to rest our eyes while looking at the computer, we need to rest our eyes every 20 minutes if possible that we can remember so that it will not get tired and we will not be having a headache.

If I try to take a five minute nap it always ends up much more than 5 minutes of a nap for me.

I don't do that often but there are times that I does it. It really does seems to work for me. I felt much refreshed as compared to when I was in the state of struggling to stay awake. Due to not having the flexibility to do that always, I did hide in the toilet just to stay away from the bosses eyes.

To just close the eyes and relax for 5 minutes, I feel is fine. To nap for 5 minutes is simply too short for me. A nap for me could mean 5 hours. I have seen my colleagues napping at their workplace for about 10-20 minutes during the lunch break. They will have a quick lunch and then it is back to the workplace, lean back on the chair, rest the head on the headrest and soon we could hear snores. Some just lay their heads on their folded arms on the table. Hope these suggestions help.

Nope, i have never tried having a nap for 5 minutes. Never being able to do it. Maybe because my mind is always in a array of thoughts that it seldom rest till it is time to sleep at night. Maybe that is why I have been tired all the time. Anyway, is there a cafeteria in your workplace? Maybe you can find sit at a corner and try to nap for 5mins after your meal? Or the toilet? hmm, maybe not the toilet since it can be quite smelly.. haha..

At Rest - This my cat she can sleep all the time.
My problem I nap for 20 minutes, I close my eyes and there goes the time. If I am at home I can nap for hour. I can not just close my eyes for 5 minutes. Ever where I have worked, would fire you for sleeping. I have went to the bathroom and closed my eyes for a while, was lucky and did not get caught.

No. I can't tried that my friend. I have a nap but I think 5 minutes is very short. I have a nap at 15 minutes to 30 minutes... That's a good company I think. But is there really a company allow there employee to have a nap in no more than a minute?

I take a nap every day. It does seem to refresh you and I can make better decisions after a nap. My usual nap is an hour. I have heard that you should only sleep 20 minutes tops. I can't do that but I don't work or have a family, so it doesn't matter how much time it takes up.

well, i do this everytime. taking what they call as five-minute nap is very important, especially when you're too tired to focus, even work. others call this as a power nap, a short description of regaining power or energy. i don't know the underlying principle behind this five-minute nap considering that five minutes is quite short for a rest, but it is very effective.

I always take a power nap. Power naps usually last for 5-15 minutes. It is true that these kinds of naps help restore us. After taking a quick nap, I don't feel sleepy the whole day already. I usually sleep in my desk for 15 minutes during lunch break. You can take a nap during lunch break. Naps are not forbidden in the workplace during lunch break.

I think you can stare a remote point (green would be better)through the window for 5 minites, and then close your eyes for one minite without anything in your mind, which also can help you get rest.

I think taking a nap 5 minutes rest in the afternoon is good especially if you are doing a task. It is a great help in regenerating your energy and relaxing your eyes and some parts of the body. I believe atleast 6-8 hours of sleep is still best. For your question about the solution you want, I guess if you are in the work and feel sleepy you may try to eat a candy or chocolate to heightened your spirit, or you may drink energy drink. ehehehe. But the best solution is sleep enough hours so you will not get sleepy in your work. God Bless!
