Who is your Favorite NHL Player??

If you are a fan of hockey, you must have a favorite player. Who is your all time favorite player and why? I personally like Alexander Ovechkin.

There is another major Ovie fan on here too. I have too many to pick one and say he is my all time favorite, some I love for their skill and what they bring to the game and others for the way they are as a team member and still others like Stevie Y that are the whole package. If forced to choose a player still playing I would probably say Nick Lidstrum, because he always makes a difference, on and off the ice.

When Stevie left and Nick took the C I could only agree when the Wings organization said Nick was the only choice..they are guys from different ends of the world cut from the same cloth. And they both have earned all the respect they enjoy.

Ovie is my favorite current player. But my all time favorite is Brendan Shanahan. He was a great player. He gave it his all every shift plus He is Gorgeous!

I've been a diehard Nordiques/Avalanche fan my whole life. Sakic, Forsberg and Roy were my favorite players. Now times I changed and the Avalanche have a much more youthful team. Hejduk, Stastny, Duchene, O'Reilly, Yip, Stoa, Liles, Quincey, Anderson....I love every Avalanche player. This is hands down the most exciting season I've watched in my life.
